Vanatoo Transparent Zero

Nothing small will do bass convincingly. Well, maybe a pair of Vanatoo Transparent Zero wouldn't be the worst at that. They're 7.5″H x 4.75″W x 7.75″D (without support). Those would set you back $350ish, add a powered sub for a few hundred more (the Vanatoo's have a proper filter built in, when they detect a sub they stop sending bass to themselves and just send it to the sub) and you're good to go.

Looks like all the "expert" review hype already caused people to blow their wads and buy these speakers without the benefit of ever hearing them in person. Great job, Vanatoo. goddamn this setup SLAPS!! ive heard nothing but good things about the vanatoo t0's but when i got them i was very disappointed, mostly because i was comparing them to my sundaras.

I personally despise Audioengine speakers. I think they look nice but produce a bloated mid-bass I couldn't handle.

I love and totally recommend my Vanatoo Transparent Zeros.

I had them for 8 days and they went back. They are really great...and they are really not. I'm 72 and they are the strangest speakers I've ever listened to. They are clear and the imaging is shockingly good. They put out sound and they put a smile on your face. But...I can't get past the form-factor...

With the Transparent Zero, it has a sub(woofer) out. You can get the. $600 SVS SB-1000 Pro paired with it and you'll rumble. It'll make you realize that subwoofers are the way, not the puny headphone and IEM bass performance, if you really want that bass.

More frustration for me in searching for computer speakers. These are interesting, versatile speakers that sound great, are well built, and I wanted to like them. Vanatoo Transparent Zero would be ideal and are now available from Amazon Germany, but price is over 400 euros. They are by all accounts absolutely great speakers. They only became available in Europe quite recently, used to be US only.

Good sound quality. USB and optical connections do not work reliably with my iMac and MacBook Pro computers. Bluetooth works great. The powered speaker gets very hot when in use.
