Price hike coming on the Synthstorm Deluge - gearnews.com
Synthstrom Deluge · Source: Synthstrom Audible Previous Next In an unusual move Synthstrom Audible has announced that they are raising the price of their Deluge portable synth/sampler workstation to $999 to reflect that it’s more awesome than the current pricing suggests. Epic development. Synthstrom says that the amount of work that’s been poured into the device since its release in 2017 has turned it into an epic machine that goes well beyond the original remit

Underrated Grooveboxes?
Synthstrom Deluge is packed with features and is a lot of fun. But a bit of an initial learning curve to take full advantage of all it can do.

Dawless Newbie: What kind of hardware brain suits me?
I use a synthstrom deluge as the brain of my setup. It can sample, loop, has internal synth engines, gets updated often and gets loads of new functions every time they do. It's quite pricey for what you need, but I'm in love with it and can only recommend it.
Best super portable travel setup?
Synthstrom Deluge. Easy to fit in a backpack or laptop case, runs on battery, synth engine, sampler, nearly unlimited sequencer. Awesome community, lots of updates and new features through updates. I love traveling with this thing.

Where is the innovation taking place?
As far as hardware goes, the area i've seen the most innovation recently is in groovebox synths. The Synthstrom Deluge, Akai MPC Live II, and Roland MC-707 are far beyond the capabilities of any all-in-one groovebox that has come before them. Now they offer things like multi-samples, VST hosting, polyrhythms, FM and subtractive synthesis, single cycle waveforms, wavetables, slicing functions, much bigger hard drives, and much greater sound quality than past grooveboxes. To me, these are the standouts in recent innovation.

Synthstrom Audible - Deluge
The Deluge just might be New Zealand's best kept secret.Price: $899synthstrom.com
Any idea which device can be used to create full songs dawless with multiple external synths? (without external mixer maybe)
The SynthStrom Deluge is like a super high end circuit, so a different feel/workflow. The OP-1 can do quite a bit as well, but has a particular 'record to tape' style of workflow. A lot of the Elektron boxes can do elements of this, but they are more designed to be used together and with other gear.

What Should I Buy? /// Weekly Discussion - July 12, 2021
Synthstrom Deluge - \[This seems awesome and ideal but it's a little bigger than I would have liked\]. OP-1 - \[Seems ideal but that price though =/ \]. OP-Z - \[Looks ok but like the circuit tracks no screen and seems a little unintuitive, at least to me?\].
