Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra 5G

Battery – I don’t have a 5G contract, so I disabled 5G, set brightness to adaptive and so far I am getting 7 to 8 hours plus of screen on time, so no complaints. Charging does seem a little slower, but to 50/60% it’s about the same. Calls – no problems. BT – no problems with my Samsung Buds, my Motorcycle Intercom system, Sony WH-100XM3 or anything else.

My s10+ was a better phone. It had a headphone jack and micro SD card. It's hard to believe my older phone has more storage than this "ultra". Also these corved displays are useless. Everything released in between is just noise to me. Even a $600 phone can do exactly what a $1200-1500 s22 ultra or whatever can do. Tablets might be a different story, but you just have to reset your brain that all these things aren't necessary. It's just a way for companies to make money.

The camera is great. The phone is great. The battery lasts about 3 hours max. The face recognition works about 10% of the time. Fingerprint less often.

Samsung Galaxy S21 Ultra 5G has much better specs than the older Google Pixel 5.

Wait a few months for the Pixel 6 or get the S21 now.

Other than that issue, 5g speed is pretty bad, and on mobile data the drain is much faster due to the modem they used. I pre-ordered an S22 Ultra to compare with my 6 pro.

My cat ran when I fired this up, I was so excited! Stars were moving on the screen and all. I was able to tell in the fist 5 minutes this was worth every penny. At least 15 times better than my last phone. If this broke today I'd eat Roman noodles every day till I can get another. It's a must have! ...

It's been ok. I don't feel it's any better than a Samsung or iPhone, but I've run into bugs/issues which have led me to preorder the Galaxy S22 Ultra. Just feel Samsung phones are more polished phones in hardware and software.
