I know you can’t get rid of pores but I’m wondering is there anyway to make them smaller? I use La Roche Posay products. They keep my acne mostly at bay but I feel like my pores are just so large. Part of it is genetic, but just wondering if there’s anything else I can do at home to help. Thanks!

 The "diopter" creep continued until I would need to set the diopter to the Max "+" in order to maintain the barrels parfocal. I chalked it up to a manufacturing defect and eagerly waited a replacement pair. At first, the replacement pair needed only minimal diopter adjustment (as is necessary with all my other binoculars). But once again with repeated usage, I needed to adjust the diopter offset more and more

 In time though, I have really grown to appreciate my Zeiss Conquests to the point that they are the only BInoculars I use now.

 I also own a pair of Kowa 10x32 BDXD, Steiner WIldlife Pro XP 10x26. and Redfield 10x50's Additionally, I own a VIXEN 102mm fluorite F9 telescope, so you could say that I like optics. I was very impressed with the image quality, and the wider field was a nice improvement over the Monarch 5's. They also were better collimated than the Monarch 5's

Problems with Diopter adjustment drift

I recently purchased Nikon Monarch HG binoculars. Other Nikon products I've purchased in the past made me comfortable buying again, but the reasons I went for the HGs are because they are made in Japan and have field flatteners.

I’m looking to treat myself to a new pair of binoculars, and want something nice. I currently have the Bushnell Legends which I like a lot, but looking to upgrade. What is everyone using and why?

What are you guys using for birding?

This will be my first set of binoculars, so I'm pretty lost on what's good and what isn't. I do a lot of hiking/climbing, and would like a good set of binoculars that won't be cumbersome, but I'm also young so the weight factor isn't too worrisome. There's also a few dark sky rated locations in my state that I'd like to visit more often, so a pair that can also accomplish some good stargazing would be great.

I really don't want to spend more than $1,000.00. Any suggestions are appreciated.

Looking for good hiking binoculars, occasional star gazing

 I compared viewing with a set of 10 x 42 MG's with Premier 8 X 42's. Very little improvement in magnification. Why was the Premier line discontinued? Nikon has nothing to replace it at this time. I've also experienced "issues" with Nikon Repair Service

Looking for a pair of high quality binoculars

 I don’t live near any large sportsman stores that carry a decent selection of optics. Everything in my area is low- to mid-level. My interest in higher-end optics is relatively new, so I haven’t done much looking around when I’ve been in larger cities.  Based on my experience with low- and mid-level bins, I assumed the view would be pretty awesome and the build quality would be just as great for this high-end bino

 They actually stay on, which is a whole lot better than any other pair I own. My Nikon Action Extreme porro binoculars have terrible covers, so the difference there is night and day. On the other end, I’m not crazy about the eyepiece cover. It is a harder plastic that, while functional, seems a bit out of place and doesn’t slide on and off very well

  Optics In all honesty, I was not blown away when I looked through these bins. That was a little disappointing at first glance, but then I started to pay more attention to what I was seeing. Or, more to the point, what I wasn’t seeing. I am used to bins that are pretty decent, but I always notice that I’m looking through a lot of glass

  The diopter adjustment works well. I haven’t had any issue with the locking ring not staying locked. Also, there has been no sign of diopter drift, which has been reported in a couple other reviews I’ve seen online.  Overall, this seems to be a well-made binocular

I thought about buying the Kite Optics Falco 8x48 because they seem quite nice for a budget option (375€ with a discount). I know there are a lot of other great options with a lot of review but I'd like to get a pair from Kite because they are a Belgian company.

Kite Optics Falco experiences

I bought these 10x42 hg binoculars after buying the Razoz 10x42 glasses. I really liked the razors- super, super center resolution. But when I tried some Monarch 7's, both 30 and 42 diameter, the better view of the whole field was apparent. Not as sharp, but overall, the binoculars just seem to get out of the way better

So, after reading many reviews, I thought the 10x42 hg glasses might be really close to as good as it gets, at that price range. I have spent many hours comparing both the hg's to the razors, and both to the 8x30 monarch 7's

 The hg glasses are not quite as sharp as the razors, but they are quite a bit sharper than the 7's. I have no idea how they would do compared to slc's or meopta glasses as far as sharpness goes, but I can't see anything being sharper than the razors. I think maybe Vortex optimized these glasses for center resolution, but the whole view suffers, compared to the nikon glasses. I can't really look around the field of view as easily as either nikon binoculars
