PCT NOBO - be pedantic and shake my shit down

The Nemo 2P is a really solid tent, but it is going to be overkill most of the time and might make it hard to hit the 10 lb goal. If you are committed to carrying poles and have money I might consider some kind of single wall deal. I have the SMD Lunar Solo which was relatively cheap and held up well. If memory serves I think it would save you about half a pound plus you don't have the hassle of packing tent poles.

Lightweight 1-2 person tent for Antarctica

I would probably look at the Sierra Designs Convert 2p or 3p, the Eddie Bauer Katabic 2p or 3p, Marmot Thor, Marmot Fortress, several of the MSR tents or the Nemo Kunai. Helliberg or FjallRaven if you are a mega baller. Expedition tents have additional poles, more guyout points and way more tent stake points. The are fabric canopy so they cut much of the wind completely out.
