Moog Grandmother Dark Series Review
Like its keyboard, controls and overall looks, the Grandmother is solid and dependable and can create authoritative bass tones to match.

My current setup is digitakt, digitone, Moog Grandmother, Mother 32, subharmonicon, and some fx pedals all ran into a 4 input audio interface that is then ran into an MPC One. It's a great little setup and I'm absolutely not capable of using it to it's fullest but I'm struggling with getting out of 4 bar loops. It just hard to visualize song structure with all the different gear having their own sequencing and tracks and whatnot. I can't get past having separate sequences as parts to a song.

Dear god.
Every sound this thing makes is candy for the ears. My last synth was the Korg Minilogue XD, which sounds great and is a far more powerful synth. However, I like the Moog WAY more. The Minilogue can do almost anything, but it takes a lot longer to make a patch that sounds perfect. With the Moog, you...

Can't say enough about this synth.
I didn't understand the hype on this synth when it was first released. I have about a dozen synths, all with the ability to store presets. It is a pretty important feature for me. I gave this guy a chance because people rave about the sound of the grandmother. I can't agree more. It's sounds amazing...

Moog Grandmother vs Matriarch (Comparison & Shootout!)
When it comes to cost, the Moog Grandmother does come at a lower cost than its counterpart. It’s by no fine margin either, with nearly $1000 separating the two. This makes the Grandmother the clear winner in this category

Moog Grandmother Review
So this is the part of the review, where I'm supposed to say something negative or some constructive criticism on it, so that we can keep this review balanced. But honestly, I'm trying to be super open and transparent here and I'm actually struggling to find something.

Friday Hangout /// Weekly Discussion - July 02, 2021
Just bought a Moog Grandmother, and am LOVING it. It's still a bit intimidating, especially after having used a minilogue with preset recall (arguably far easier than a semi-modular), but I'm looking forward to studio time toying around with it!
I love my grandmother
This is a truly amazing instrument, and I mean "instrument". Out of the box I was smitten in less than 60 seconds. 6 hours later, of non-stop knob twiddling and patching, I was in love. And, for those of you who have been there, you know almost nothing beats falling in love with an instrument.

Fantastic sound, big fun
Wanted to dip my toe into something semi modular and felt like this was the perfect starting point. The packaging is great, everything arrived sealed and tucked away with care from the good people at Moog. The build was super fun, about 15 minutes, just some careful alignment and screwing of screws....
