I just found that I like Marshalls better, so I switch 3 different Marshalls mostly. A cheaper alternative like the DSL40CR can cover a tremendous amount of ground, especially rock-oriented stuff which seems to be your focus.

Definitely look into the Marshall DSL40CR. Not the C. I havent had any noise issues with mine and I’ve had it for a while now. Ymmv though. For me personally, it’s exactly the sound i was looking for.
