It's amazing though with killer sound, tons of function, built like a tank, and prettier than any furniture I own. I adore this amp.

I currently have an Orange Crush 20RT that I may have to replace in the near future. It’s starting to have some issues, and it would probably cost more than it’s worth to fix them. Overall, I enjoy the amp and the tones I get from it, but I’m wondering what others might recommend. I’m still a novice player and am still learning a lot, but I don’t want to have a crap amp.

While I’m learning, I’ve found myself playing along to a lot of blues backing tracks and really enjoy that. Eventually, I want to be able to play more rock and hard rock. I don’t know if I’ll ever get to the point where I can play their songs, but Some of my favorites are Aerosmith, Metallica, Alter Bridge, Sevendust, AC/DC, Black Label Society, Foo Fighters, and other similar bands.

I only play at home, so I don’t need anything that gets super loud. I’ve never had the 20RT more than half-way up.

I also don’t need a lot of effects in it. I had a Line6 Spider before, and there were too many options. Something with two channels that I can put my handful of pedals (OD, distortion, chorus, and delay) through is perfect.

Since I do play through headphones at times, I like having an Aux In port.

I would say my budget is around the $250 mark, plus or minus a little.

<p>Pedal - Strymon Volante Amp - Benson Monarch Reverb Guitar - Fender CS Telecaster</p>

<p>I love delay. I really like modulation too, so it was hard not to go with a CE-1 style pedal or something else. Also was very tempted to go with the Fjord Fuzz Bifrost because I LOVE that pedal. Ultimately, the Volante wins out because of the control and sound.</p>

<p>The Monarch is my favorite amp that I&#39;ve ever plugged into. I tried a couple of the big Two Rock amps as well, but they didn&#39;t move me the same. I love the &quot;dirty&quot; clean tone too. I could potentially be swayed by one of the Magnatone stereo amps, but I haven&#39;t gotten to try one yet.</p>

<p>For guitar, I love the Tele. Specifically my 58 heavy relic. Such a great sounding guitar and pairs really well with the amp. This was a tough decision though. Was very tempted to go with a Gretsch, but ultimately, I love this Tele too much to pass.</p>

<p>With that said, I have owned a Fender Cyber Deluxe and now own a Marshall MG30fx, but didn’t love either of them.  I mostly a “campfire” play-in-my-basement by myself player, but would like a pure tube amp and a couple of pedals that will let me play bluesy music…. AC/DC crunch…. And maybe some clean stuff.</p>

<p>Based on just reading, I was leaning toward a Vox ac15, but just want everyone’s opinions:</p>

I'm looking into getting a different strat or maybe a mustang. I like  to play a lot of Nirvana and Ramones and am trying my and at writing my  own music, which isn't great but we all start somewhere, right?

As title says. I’ve always loved the sound of fender tube amps whenever I’ve been able to dabble on them in guitar shops. But I don’t play in a band, rarely play in live settings, have a kid on the way and typically can’t play very loud regardless. I don’t like using headphones either. Right now I’m using a Mustang GTX 50 which is nice but I’m a pedal guy so it’s a bit redundant aside from sounding decent at lower volumes (and the Bluetooth is fun for backing tracks). Maybe this is more of a rhetorical question and there isn’t a tube option for me but I wanted to put up the bat signal just to see the responses.
