Nice new features but older version better
I had an opportunity to compare the 2018 Halo 6P and the previous version. I’m sorry to say I believe the older version is better constructed. There is a significant height difference - over 1 foot in height between th two versions. In 2018 version, ceiling cleared my head by 5-6 inches and I’m 5’11...

Spacious, sturdy, and high quality
My spouse and I have spent about 10 days car-camping with this tent. We have used it without the rainfly which is terrific - full overhead views (see photo). The halo poles really
increase available room. Facing the "main" door towards woods, the screened openings and half-door still give suffici...

Marmot Halo 6P Setup & Review
Now overall, we're very impressed. Obviously the 10 is it is you know, marketed towards the probably the family who you know might otherwise use a small pop-up camper or something like that. It's going to be multi activity sort of thing but it has the has the features and construction is some of the nicer you know, backpacking or you know, entry-level mountaineering tent

That left me with the aforementioned and discontinued Marmot Halo 6 (sad face) and REI Basecamp 6, the Marmot Limestone 6P and...ummm....yeah. Of the two, the Basecamp seems to be the better one, but neither is blowing me away like the Marmot Halo 6 did. Price isn't really a concern; I'd like to stick in the $600 or less range, but can go higher if there's something that's just the bees knees out there. I do want an emphasis on high quality, durable, and long-lasting.
False Advertizing
This tent is at most 115"x115' (most likely closer to 114"x114") and not the 118"x118" as advertised. I returned the tent due to this discrepancy since I wanted a larger tent and this was not it.

front country palace
Great quality for the price. Enormous tent that I can completely stand up in. Double doors are a nice feature with enormous vestibules. Rained the first night I took it out and that fresh DWR repelled the water beautifully. A portable palace.

Best value tent for small family.
We have a family of 5 and we love our Marmot Halo 6p. It’s great for ventilation, intense weather, and height.
Marmot Halo 6P 3-Season Camping Tent
The floor fabric is a 150 denier polyester with a 3,000 millimeter coating, so it's burly I'd Still recommend getting an accessory footprint to further protect that floor from abrasion and moisture. It's not included with the tent. There are multiple pockets on the inside of the tent

Just what we were looking for
We wanted to have a nice spacious 6P tent for our family to do more car camping together and this tent fit the bill. For years it has been highly reviewed, and when shopping the market there were plenty of great tents to consider. We ended up selecting this one because of its reputation and so far i...

Exceptional detailing - Beyond Spacious
This Halo P6, 2020 tent opens a whole new world of comfort for my wife and me. No more crawling in and out of my backpacking tents after nearly 30 years of exploring the Rocky Mountains! We were so eager to set it up, we did it in our backyard the day UPS dropped it off.
One of the coolest featu...
