Sure they are not curved and they lack the great contrast of VA Panels, but they are better in all other departments. LG 32GP850 is one of the most affordable 32' 1440p Monitors out there and it's a very decent monitor alltogether.

However, this monitor is the best 32" 1440 / 144Hz available, and definitely great value at this price. The LG 32GP850-B is very similar but at 140 more. The Asus PG329Q is another option that may be slightly better with more impactful HDR and better color in general, but at 600 it's 230 more at this time and not worth the additional premium imho. Anyone looking at this size...it's hare to go wrong with this model.
