 At least that seems to be where the industry is moving towards, so it might be wise for you to wait on a monitor over this one just to give it a little bit more time for all of those new technologies to start making their way into the market including HDR as well. So higher resolutions, higher frame rates are going to be, you know one preferred. And now with the new El Gato, capturing 1080p at 240 and capturing 1440p at 144 Hertz I Don't think it's ridiculous to think that a 1080p monitor is. you know, acceptable level of going above 144 and hitting more that 200 to 240 Hertz refresh rate and then pushing 144 Hertz over to the 1440p models

The downsides are that it only goes up to 1080p and for 27 inches I would prefer maybe a 1440p or of course a 4k. Now, 1440p does seem to be the sweet spot here, but when you're getting g-sync and freesync in to the monitors and you're getting the other features with all of the swivels, etc

 The monitor can be moved up and down on the pedestal easily.  With many of the monitors on the market now, this is at the higher spectrum for a regular user who does not need all the bells and whistles. Just be cautious as to what it is you think you might want, think it through carefully. The 27" monitor is quite large and I have a 24" on my desk right now, this one with the curves really would take some time to get used to

 A customer service representative came on line in the time that I was trying to discover where the instruction manual was located. He was not very helpful and gave me two phone numbers to call. I called the first one and they referred me to their website where I had been in the first place. The second number that was given was not the correct one at all the person on the other end wound up giving me the same number that I called the first time around

However, I would say that when compared to the competition, it is no that good with only 4ms response time versus the recommended 1ms for FPS

Granted too that the Lenovo is curved versus the BenQ which is flat

Good for you if...

 Quality is high I generally review entertainment products on Amazon but when Amazon offered this product in exchange for an objective review as part of its “Vine Reviewer” program (where they send the products to selected reviewers), I requested one as I wanted to upgrade my current 21 inch wide screen monitor  First off, I do not do gaming so I can’t really comment on how well it works for that. I do a lot of financial work with spread sheets and found that when I got my 21-inch monitor (through Amazon) a year or so ago, I gained a lot of “Real estate” on my screen. But, I found that this monitor is really too big for me to use comfortably. It’s honestly larger than the flat screen TV I have in my kitchen!  Because most us use the PC monitor at our desks, we need to pash it further away from us to see everything on the screen

Quality is high but - at least for me to use a a PC monitor – this was WAY too large. Maybe it works better for games.

  One thing I have to take issue with is the build of the monitor. Although the screen is nice, the casing is really thin, cheap plastic. Quite frankly it looks and feels like a toy. My guess is that one small blow and this monitor will be toast, as it just look extremely fragile

 I’d have a hard time justifying spending twice as much for the Lenovo, but that 10% of the time when I am gaming or movie watching, that 144hz refresh rate does make a difference.
