Leatherman Surge
I already own a Leatherman Mini that I keep in the console of my truck for those little fix it up jobs. I also own another Leatherman full size that is part of my roadside emergency kit. This time I went all in with the Leatherman Surge. You can’t go wrong with a Leatherman tool product. The craftsm...

Do most of you feel like you could live without it?. I EDC a Leatherman surge, I would love to carry the wave because it's lighter, but I have no use for the saw, and I use the scissors almost daily.
An entire tool-box in one tool
I have been using my Surge for just over a year now. It is incredibly durable, a little large but you get used to that, this tool will do everything. THE MOST IMPORTANT THING I WANT EVERYONE TO KNOW IS THAT THE "blade exchanger" IS ACTUALLY A STANDARD T-SHANK JIG SAW BLADE ATTACHMENT. You can run do...

The Ultimate Multitool.
This is my 3rd Surge since 2009 If that doesnt tell you what I think about this tool I dont know what will. In 10 years all theyve changed were the pliers. The original were pitiful compared to the now precision needle nose they are now. With proper replaceable cutters. If itl fit in the pliers you ...

My first Leatherman! Let’s see if they are as good as everyone says
The pliers aren't as good as a good quality pair of dedicated pliers, the screwdrivers aren't as good as most dedicated screwdrivers, the saw isn't as good as pretty much any dedicated saw, the knife and scissors are better than many dedicated knives and scissors BUT... the tool you have with you is way better than nothing, and often better than spending the time to go and find a better tool. I wear a Leatherman Surge on my belt pretty much every day. It stays on my belt when I'm in my workshop with a bunch of tools within reach but it still gets used plenty when I'm not.

Bulky and pricy
This is an item i keep in my glove box for emergencies. Although the surge seems expensive, it is the right tool and size for my needs. Sturdy, strong, hefty. Can't say much about durability because it doesn't get much use, but it has performed up to my standards thus far.

Surge in Manistee National Forest
I've been wanting to add one of these to my backpacking gear for sometime now and tested the Surge as a Ranger for The Dyrt in Michigan's Huron-Manistee National Forest backcountry.
This tool may be a little heavy for those of you who are exquisitely conscientious of pack weight but I love the s...

I can not stress this enough - I really love this tool.
This tool is so much fun. It has a vast set of high quality tools that always come in handy. I got this tool because I kept finding myself in scenarios in which someone would need a tool and I would think “man, I wish I could just whip out that tool and look like a cool, prepared, handy guy”, and no...

Recently picked up a Swisstool. The fit and finish is incredible.
This is probably going to displace my Leatherman Surge. While I like the one hand opening blades on the Surge, the minor flaws and quality issues are a bit annoying. The Swisstool appears to be better quality for less money.
