Ibanez Talman TMB100 Bass Review!

Today we've got a review of the Ibanez TMB 100 Talman bass. We've had this at the studio for quite a while.

I have been playing an Ibanez TMB100 through a Hartke 25 combo amp for a few years, and it’s fine for at home practice by myself or playing with two acoustic guitarists. It’s also worked pretty well with our full band of two amped guitars (sometimes three), drums, and mic’d vocals. Part of why I think it’s been enough is because the TMB100 has a really hot output.

Tuning machines break easily.

This is a great bass for a beginner. Only problem I’ve encountered is the tuning machines are very cheap. As I was tuning, the clover leaf twisted off the machine into my finger tips. I met very little resistance with the tuning machine when this occurred. Instead of returning the bass I have decide...

Beginner first bass options

I would test a Yamaha BB234 (slightly above 350€).

A recommendation for a real sleeper bass would be the Ibanez TMB100 (around 250€). Both are very versatile, but might have a quite big neck

Cool instrument, bad packaging/delivery

seems like a really cool bass but both EQ tuners are messed up. neither was screwed in right so they spin in place

The only option I see online for less than a grand is the Dean Metalman Z and the reviews are pretty meh. I’d like something that is at least as good as my current Ibanez TMB100, preferably better.
