Sterling Stingray vs. Music Man Stingray, what's the difference besides price?
The Ray34 I have is probably the best that Sterling has to offer before getting an EBMM bass. But given that Sterling basses sound almost exactly the same as an actual EBMM bass, you have to decide for yourself whether you think that the extra nice neck and lighter weight is worth the $2k more. The Ray34 tuners are also known to be kind of janky, specifically on the purple sparkle finishes. Besides that though, Sterling's are well worth the money, even the SUB series.
