HiSense A5 Pro CC

It's slow. My main issue is the speed of the mouse pointer, scroll, tab switching. Out of 4 modes the fastest one is Video, but that mode fills the monitor with grey dots making everything very unreadable and noisy. But even in that mode the mouse pointer speed is slower than normal and harder to control.

While looking for a new phone I came across the Hisense A5 Pro CC and really liked the idea of a phone with an e-ink display. I don't like the eyestrain I get from looking at traditional screens, and an e-ink display allows me to read comfortably for long periods of time.

I own a Hisense A5 Pro CC and I am not very happy about it. Its lack of Google Play services and the trackers installed on it make it unusable for me as a primary phone.

What are some things such as settings, apps, or other things you recommend for a better experience using it?

I have recently bought a HiSense A5 Pro CC and have been using it for about two weeks. Ordered it on CECT, great service there.

Hisense A5 pro CC and A7 are very impressive, it would be awesome to have a Q5 with color and some improvements like less screen borders, USB-C...

My first use case will be using as an external monitor.

Are there some rumors about this for 2021?

I got myself a Hisense A5 Pro CC, it arrived at the beginning of November this year (2021). "Original firmware", i.e. no Google Play / Google Services.

I share your "pain" as an owner of A5 Pro CC. The lack of a proper Google Play store and full services (like location) makes it difficult to use properly. Plus it does not play nice with Japanese carriers (other people have experienced problems making calls to me, some SMS messages are not received for hours, new SMS message notifications have been missed / dropped on many occasions). Finally replaced it with a simple e-ink phone: Kyocera KY-01L.

If you need one now Hisense has the best specs and build quality. But as an owner of an A5 Pro CC since August, it's not my daily driver. I use it for web and reddit browsing throughout the day but my iPhone 11 is still my daily driver. Eink is not there yet for video consumption and the camera and speakers not to mention not all NA bands are supported makes it unsuitable for me.

These are dual screen phones which should work nicely in the US. I've got an Hisense A6 after I've previously had an A5 Pro CC. While I enjoyed the A5 Pro CC, there were moments when I wanted a normal screen to watch videos. Videos on A5 Pro CC are alright but not suitable if you are looking at something that has small details, like tennis or even football for example.
