This monitor has it ALL! - AORUS FV43U

It definitely has speakers and they're pretty serviceable..

A shader-based monitor calibration tool. If your monitor is displaying sRGB correctly and you're at 1:1 pixel scale, the wave pattern should be nearly invisible.

I wrote this a couple years ago, but after messing around with the wonky behavior of the Gigabyte FV43U monitor,I thought I'd share it with r/monitors. The wave pattern is nearly invisible on my LG 38GL950G-B when running at 60 hz. My old 30" HP office monitor (back when we worked in offices) was basically perfect. The FV43U is way, way, way off.

I woke up at 5:55 am this morning not too hopeful, starting refreshing links to 3060ti cards on newegg using my phone (didn't use the app, just browser) and miraculously was able to snag the Gigabyte Aorus one. Checked out through paypal and it's already given me a tracking number. I think since it's my birthday and I'm super pregnant, the newegg gods showed mercy!.

The Gigabyte 43" VA of the "Gigabyte AORUS FV43U" ( 2021 ) also has the same problems. There is pretty much the same bad 43" BGR VA panel installed as always, no matter which 43" 4K VA monitor.

For the most part I liked the monitor, but the 43inch size was honestly a bit big for my desk, especially since I also use a second monitor. There was also some discoloration in the corners of the screen so I decided to return it.

But…1000:1 with HDR400 and no legit Gsync? It’s still a bit disappointing. The FV43U on the other hand is a knockout and possibly “the one” right now, with it’s 4K VA 4000:1 and HDR1000.
