If you have any friends who are electric guitarists, you could have them check the guitar to locate any problems you might not have enough experience to notice. If there are any, or if you just don't like the color, don't hesitate to send it back. When I bought a Gibson Les Paul Studio in 2014, I sent back two that I didn't like... and kept the third one they sent.

I paid $650 for a killer used Gibson Les Paul Studio last year on Reverb. You can absolutely find used Gibsons in your price range

A 2007 Gibson Les Paul studio in satin worn brown finish. A very bare bones guitar but it felt great to play and sounded good too. I miss that one quite a bit. Also had a silverburst epiphone LP custom pro. That one I also miss but not as much.

Gibson does not have bad QC, its the internet hate machine and nitro. ive seen a lot of QC problems with other companies , its just not that "hated" . i.e also the internet seems to love epi's when they are both by the same company. Also MIJ guitars are not cheap, a new MIJ charvel costs as much as a Gibson Les Paul Standard, the new Ibanez RG Prestiges cost more than a Gibson Les Paul Studio.

Gibson Les Paul. I'm in love with the deeper tones, sustain, shape, just everything about it. I also have a Telecaster which I love for it's jangle and versatility.

The best guitar I ever played was a Gibson Les Paul. A mate has a different Gibson and it's nice to play. Not as nice as that other one I mentioned, but a big step up from my Epiphone.

And that's it. Now you're hooked. Nothing like a Gibson Les Paul man! That looks really nice. In the more affordable range, but still a Gibson!! Might have to look at one of those.

i've had a gibson les paul studio for around 10 years. it's for sure a great guitar, but it left me wanting more. it's one of those worn brown ones, so it was never the best looking guitar i had. i realize that guitars are mainly about tone and playability, but i still want to play a nice looking guitar.

for around 10 years it was my gibson les paul studio and now it's my gibson les paul standard. it's an expensive guitar and i want to try to keep it as pristine as possible, but at the same time, i bought it so that i could play it.
