Eureka Mignon Manuale

Coming from a Eureka Mignon Manuale, the grounds seem a lot more uniform. And, the first cup somehow was pretty much dialed in and tasted a lot sweeter and clearer than what I was able to get from the Eureka.

I've been using this grinder almost every day for about 6 months now. It's a good burr grinder, but my complaint is that I could produce equivalent grind quality with another grinder a third of the price. I recommend spending most your budget on a good grinder first, then upgrading your espresso set up either with a non pressurised basket or with a new machine completely depending on budgets. I can't speak for the Graef personally but it you can it might be worth saving up more for a higher end espresso grinder like the Eureka Mignon, which has a good range of grinds for espresso and reputation. That way it'll future proof any upgrades to your espresso machine. Other option would be to get an espresso focussed hand grinder but electric is worth the extra for less effort in the mornings!.

It's gorgeous. I have the all black silenzio and love the solid build except for plastic top plate. I especially like the flat front chute which you can punch lightly to drop retained grounds which is less than a gram, not bad. Your Breville should be able to pull a decent shot with medium to dark roast beans, as long as you put a portafilter in it.

Frequently recommended entry-level grinders in this sub are 1Zpresso JX Pro (hand) and Eureka Mignon Manuale (electric). The Sage/Breville grinders have a lot of users here but are not often recommended due to inferior build and grind quality and large step size (the grind size you want will often be between the numbered steps on the grinder).
