Not a good grinder
I used a Breville for over a year and loved it, until it started jamming a lot, and I thought I needed an upgrade. I did a lot of research and found everyone saying this was the grinder to get, and it's about $100 more than the Breville, so I went with it. Grinder came in, I made a few cups at recom...
Expensive, but worth it.
We’ve had this for a couple of weeks now and can give our honest opinion. This is by far the best coffee grinder we’ve ever owned. We are not coffee experts, but we are coffee lovers who enjoy a tasty brew every day. The grind is consistent and definitely makes our coffee taste better. The noise lev...
Best Coffee Grinder of 2022 - GearLab
If you're shopping for a large family or small office of caffeine addicts, our top recommendation is the Baratza Virtuoso+. It can pump out a very consistent grind size and is also kitted out with more industrial-grade components than most of its consumer-level competitors. This means it is more lik...
I know you can rotate the dial way past the highest marking to get a coarser grind, and I've tried that, but still - tons of fines that cause too much mud. Additionally, the "zero retention" thing seems like a complete fabrication. Clearing out my grinder before each new brew yields at least 1 gram, often more, of left-behind particles. Again, this is almost exactly how my Virtuoso behaved, leaving me unimpressed with what is a marketed selling point of the Niche.

Whatever the case may be for improving your grind consistency. Whether your upgrading from the super-budget end of grinders or want a premium all-rounder, the Baratza Virtuoso can probably help. You’re on the right track if you want to make better brews because grinders are just as, if not more esse...
Now I'm. believer in quality grinders
All I can say is "wow" what a difference it made. Grind rates are now within the spec'd range and draw down times are a lot shorter with the same grind size, down from 4:30 to 3:30 for the same 25g dose in 450g water. And my coffee tastes so much better I can't believe it.

The Virtuoso+ delivers a clean, café-quality taste to your cup thanks to a high performance conical bur...
Good but not perfect
This grinder is good but not perfect. It produces consistent grinds. However the hopper is made of thin plastic and does not have the heft of quality. Also, one of the bin LEDs is misaligned inside the case so it doesn’t light the bin. I may try to disassemble the grinder to try and fix the LED. For...
Good quality. Love this machine!
Cons: too tall to fit in the 13.25" space under my cabinets. It is not 12.6 " tall, it's 13.75" tall with the top lid on. Also, the upper burr doesn't seat as snugly and isn't as heavy as the upper burr in my old grinder. So that's more of a concern, than a flaw at this point. Also, the gasket isn't...
