Personally I think 27” is too large especially for dual monitors or if keeping it closer. I have the S2417DG currently for gaming and as a second monitor. Primary monitor is 5 year old 25” 1440p Acer G257HU(if it goes bad I would get another 24” 1440p or 24” 4k and run it with 150% scaling for 1440p effectively) . I’ve tried 1440p 27” as well as 4K 27” and 1440p UW 34” and found them all lacking.

I have a dell S2417DG and I feel this post on a fucking spiritual level. It has color uniformity issues, slight graininess, horrible contrast, washed out color, no gamma control, and to top it all off, the worst color banding in the entire industry. It's hard to play games on this monitor sometimes, let alone watch movies.

Ok, after reading all the "This is it Chief" and all the positive reviews on this, I juat pulled the trigger! Currently I'm running a Dell S2719DGF as my main with a Dell S2417DG as my secondary, and it's always drove me crazy having two different sizes.

My VG259QM is slightly behind a Dell S2417DG in motion clarity, but my competitive FPS days are over so it's not a big deal to me. If you're not hard on IPS, the best TN I'm aware of for motion clarity is Acer XF252Q, which has shaved a few milliseconds off the previous generation 144/240hz TN panels.

Coming from the 24" Dell S2417DG. I'll say, I can notice the slight blurring due to the panel being VA, but it's not nearly as bad as some people made it out to be. Played a few games of Warzone and it was just fine. The real upgrade here are the colors.
