 Let's take a look at the options menu real quick. We've got a lot of different settings here, but I'll just save you guys the time and cover the important stuff. If you head into the first tab which is titled game by using the arrow keys at the bottom, you'll be able to display the refresh rate of the monitor which will show up in the top left hand side of the screen. To make this a little easier to enable, you can save this as a shortcut by going down to personalize and then selecting one of these shortcut keys to overwrite

 Head over to TFT Central Comm if you want to read more about these settings here, because that's essentially where I've just sourced all of these from. right? This, you're going to want to set between 35 and 75 depending on the lighting in your room. we've contrast at 75 and then set the RGB values to 93, 93, and 100 respectively. You might also want to head over to the Nvidia control panel and turn down that camera a little bit as it is a little bit higher out of the box with this model

[music] [music] Well, 34 40 by 1440, 120 Hertz refresh rate, and a beautiful IPS panel. This is what a lot of us have been waiting on for a while and with the last couple days I've been using the Alienware 3418, DW and I'm convinced that it is the ultimate gaming monitor. And let me show you why: this monitor possesses the trifecta of specifications with a high resolution of 34 40 by 1440, a high refresh rate of 100 Hertz which is overclockable up to 120 Hertz through the menu, and a beautiful IPS panel. Often, monitors will do one of these things very well and be fairly average in the other two that this monitor hits the sweet spot For all three, the curve is a little bit more aggressive to what we've seen from a Seuss or Acer coming in at 1900 R, but I did notice this to be much more comfortable to use than those

The ULTIMATE Gaming Monitor - Alienware AW3418DW

 Now our controls are thank God going to be a series of buttons here and not just like a single little control stick in the middle. This is an Ips panel, and the fact that they're getting Ips panels to run at this extremely high refresh rate is excellent off angles. If I'm if I'm actually viewing it at even you know, sideways or something like that. If someone's sitting next to me here, they can very easily see it

 So I'm going to get this monster out of the box and see what we're working with. [Music] I'm going to say this is more well packaged than efficiently packaged. There is so much empty space here and I feel like if this stand could just come apart in any way, shape or form, then they may have had the ability to put it in a smaller box. But you know what? This is, as I mentioned before, a 34 inch ultra wide running at 3440 by 1440 my preferred resolution

 But oh my goodness. I'm so excited that this is here because it's been a while. So um, moving on with the specs. Uh, we are looking at a two millisecond response time and we are running at 120 hertz with G-sync It's a beautiful thing
