This thing is incredibly slow, in some cases much slower than any of my SATA drives, slower than some of my hard drives. Thankfully it is not in a speed sensitive role, just wanted a big enough drive to fit Elder Scrolls Online on my laptop which only has room for a 2280 drive. I find it slightly amusing how easy it is to overwhelm this thing to 15mb/s writes. I think it is probably some kind of ultra dense many layered nand, it just can't write at any reasonable pace past it's cache limits

 It is deceptive and annoying, the drives are good, I have yet to see one fail in all the years I have ordered from them and they are priced well. Please don't offer this incentive when it does not work and one google search will show you it is a widespread issue with many people. Someone who has less experience would have a lot of headaches, just remove this option and suggest something that will work. If they continue to use this marketing ploy I am done ordering from them, I will go elsewhere to buy my upgrades

 That SSD is going to be end-of-line soon, and if any of it fails, it seems kinda sure that Crucial's replacement will be something worse - not better. 6. Like other reviews have mentioned, their support is not helpful. I had to tell them more than twice that my MX500 really didn't work, that my laptop wouldn't power on with that SSD installed and still they tell me to check the BIOS

they are, but you have to do things in really precise steps to get them to work. First off, forget their cloning software. I never could get it to work. Also, you cannot install these in an external M2 container and plug them into a USB port

 Same stuff used to happen in the Hard Drive game, but it just sucks to see that here. ASIDE from that minor point, though, it "just works", even with the mess that is Windows 10, and has a decent warranty. Just what I needed after My HP unit write-locked itself on its way to a fast death.  I would buy this if it's the best price you can find among similar SSDs

 I put in the Crucial 1TB SSD and the Restore failed. The message is that the space is not large enough. On checking, there is only 913GB available. This is because Crucial scrimps on the capacity

Capacity does not come up to that of other brands
