Cervélo S5 2019 review
For years aerodynamics just meant riding in the drops. Then it meant cutting off your ponytail and wearing pointy hats.
Then it meant deep section wheels and soon-to-be-banned riding positions.
The common theme was taking things in isolation, optimising parts of a bike or rider without much consid...

Cervélo S5 review
Conclusion. The Cervélo S5 is unreasonable. Unreasonably fast and unreasonably direct
Leaning towards SRAM Red AXS, my son has it on his bike and I really like everything wireless and the battery charging and the power meter in the crank is sweet. I currently ride Dura- Ace on an older Cervelo S5.
New Cervelo S5 hiding in plain sight? - CyclingTips
As we compiled our team bikes of the 2022 men’s World Tour feature last week, we contacted every World Tour team for images of this year’s rigs. One bike we didn’t get a team-supplied photo of was Jumbo-Visma’s Cervelo S5 Disc. We had the studio photos of the bike provided for last year’s feature, b...

How often do you get your bike serviced by professionals?
Everything else I do myself, including building up the bike I'm riding these days (Cervelo S5). The reason I don't pay a bike shop to do anything is partly due to the (ridiculous) cost, but also because I've had enough bad experiences with bike shop 'mechanics' screwing up even simple things that I just don't trust them. For instance:. * Replacing a shift cable housing.

What to expect from 24lbs Aluminum Road bike to 17lb Carbon Aero Bike
The weight reduction will translate, to a certain extent at least, to a higher FTP *when climbing,* as if you yourself suddenly lost 7 pounds. Aside from that, I'd assume your old bike has Endurance geometry, and the new one has Race geometry? Speaking as someone who rode a Trek Pilot 2.1 frameset for 10 years, including training and racing on it, then got a Cervelo P2 and, most recently, a Cervelo S5, you'll probably find that in some respects you'll have to learn to ride differently because the bike will outperform your old one on curves and when cornering, which on a highly technical course will *effectively* make you faster, not having to slow down as much for curves and corners. It's been about a year and a half since I got done building the S5 and I'm still learning to trust it's handling, still surprised how much faster I can take corners and curves.

Is The 2022 CERVELO S5 Worth $19,000!?
So big thumbs up for the group set and then in terms of the bike, it's just an absolute rocket ship, like i said before, probably the most um enjoyable fast bike. I'Ve ever used in my life super super responsive. I did a few sprints and you know it gets up to like in the tower winds up to 50 60k now absolute piece of piss, so super super sick bike

Brand new aero road bike between £4000-£5000
The Cervelo s5 is a work horse aero bike for flat stages and mild climbing. Throw a pair of clip on tri bars and you’ve got a TT bike. Even better with some deep dish wheels. Yes you can still climb it but you’d want to make sure you’ve got a lighter wheel set if possible.

The long Awaited Cervelo S5 Bike review
They roll awesome. Another, what this also means for you is that if you like the bike, I'm telling you that it's it's ride like a dream, it's awesome to ride. It's awesome to race that it's good about this bike is that it's good duration, mind the Shimano dura-ace di2 afford to mention that before what does it mean for you? Well, electric, the riding electric is great

LBS told me today that staying in the big chainring is wearing my chain out
Current bike: Cervelo S5, Ultegra R8000 groupset, 11-32 cassette, 36/52 cranks. I ride in the 52 chainring all the time because that's how it needs me to ride it and my cadence is 95 +/- 5 rpm almost all the time. But I do lots of intervals at threshold at 70rpm too. Chainrings and cassettes wear out just like chains.
