Cannondale SuperSix Evo

After I worked full time, I bought a Cannondale SuperSix Evo Hi-Mod (2016 model). The SuperSix is way better than the CAAD 10, significantly lighter and much smoother ride quality. I was satisfied with the purchase.

Supersix Evo isn't even that much better than the TCR advanced pro. The only thing that would make me want it is the SLR wheelset, but, it's an old model SLR and the break track is probably pretty worn. That $2,600 price tag on the supersix is unlikely to be the end of the story I could imagine it needing some $500 worth of maintenance within the first year.

Currently I ride a 2018 Cannondale Supersix Evo Ultegra, but I'm looking to pick something up that would be a little faster as I've started competing in some duathlons. Note that I would not be getting rid of my Supersix Evo--this would just be in addition to that one. At this point, I think I've narrowed it down to the [Specialized Tarmac SL7 or the Scott Foil 10 (link is strangely dead on Scott's US site this morning). So I'm looking for something a little quicker, but I don't want to go with a tri bike or TT because I want to get something that's still fun to ride outside of race day.

I bought the Hunt Carbon Aero 50 wheelset for my SuperSix Evo. (Size 58, I'm 6ft2). I've been out in 30mph wind on them, which is doable, but not nice. I personally wouldn't do it again, I would say 20mph is my limit for those rims.

I found a new SuperSix Evo that was 4 years old bc no one needed a 63cm road bike in northern Minnesota. The price was great and I've loved riding that thing. Truth be told the same CAAD version doesn't weigh much more.

I run 25's on my Evo and it feels wonderful. While the design principles are now dated, the SuperSix still has a ride and handling comparable to the best of the contemporary racing bikes. The sizing will be close--you might feel that the Evo is just a bit lower and longer than your Dolce.

I’d also look at Cannondale CAAD or Supersiz models, or Synapse if you want a more relaxed geometry that can still move super fast. I have a supersix evo and it absolutely eats hills for breakfast.
