When is a polyphonic synth not a polyphonic synth?
Even for around £700, I’m not getting the poly synth that I want or is advertised. Now, it’s not just voice allocation that makes a difference. Remember when we said it only has one amp and one filter and one filter envelope? Well, if you have the amp envelope set to a slow attack and long release, then the second note you play will start without the slow attack

Behringer Monopoly and Poly-D currently $500 at Sweetwater
The Poly-D is great if want that Moog sound, but don't want to spend $3500 for the real deal. Also, unlike the "real deal", the Poly-D is paraphonic, has an additional oscillator, a sequencer, chorus and distortion. They keyboard also has channel aftertouch (though you have to patch it in somewhere for it to do anything).
Worth triple the price!!
This thing is so cool. I cannot believe I have this for the price I paid. It does the mini moog thing perfectly for me. I don’t care about what it can’t do. The sounds are just killer. I’m not a tweaker by nature but I will be here. No presets or saves just like back in the day. For sure an old scho...

Behringer Poly D or Minimoog? Watch the shoot-out video and vote! - gearnews.com
His conclusions are interesting. He feels that it’s not identical but is absolutely close enough to do the job and then spends a couple of minutes expanding on his thoughts. He does mention that there’s possibly a problem with the amplifier on his Poly D because the output level is so low and the clicks are very pronounced, so it could possibly sound even better. I really appreciate the time Starsky has taken with this comparison, getting the sounds right, the patches identical, his experience with the Minimoog definitely shows as does his love for the instrument.

It ain’t much, but it’s mine and I love it.
Since i got it i have had a prophet rev 2 and a juno 106 and the poly d in my opinion is better than both. Its a serious musical instrument and so easy to get great sounds from. What makes it amazing is if you put it in unison mode, set all osc's to the same then move osc 1 one notch higher and osc 3 one notch lower. this gives amazing string sounds that most synths cant do unless you have huge hands.
Great Synth
Update to earlier review. Had this this 3 weeks now am enjoying playing it. Love the range of sounds you can get. Now like the poly setting after playing around with it. Now working on the sequencer and so far - nice.

Is the Behringer Odyssey or Poly D worth the money?
I've got the poly d and I'd say it's probably one of the best mono synths for the money. As for the odyssey - come on its an odyssey with a built in effects section and sliders you can see on dark stages. What's not to love?

Pro Review - Behringer Poly D
Hello: I'm a semi-pro keyboard player with 45 years experience and my first keyboard was a Yamaha CP30 in 1976. I pretty much have every keyboard I've ever owned and the keyboard farm exceeds 45 keyboards currently. I received the Poly D in a timely manner and when I set it up in the studio, the fir...

It ain’t much, but it’s mine and I love it.
With all it offers, it’s offensive to call it a clone; rather the PolyD is its own beast, paying tribute! An extra oscillator, high-pass filter, paraphonic unison/paraphony, onboard arp+sequencer, auto-damp, the ability to make any oscillator an LFO, amplitude and filter velocity+after touch, analog chorus & analog distortion, and software which allows you to easily set pitch/mod wheel ranges as well as the ability to edit your sequences. I feel like I missed some other exclusive features but WOW!
