The TUF Gaming VG27AQL1A has great response times at its max refresh rate. There is some overshoot in our recommended overdrive setting of 60.

Again disassembled the laptop and found that there was NO contact on the upper left corner of the GPU die, after a bit of troubleshooting found that the 0.5mm pads were causing the issue. Removed the pads from memory, and instead applied Kryonaut on the GPU memory modules and reapplied KPX on CPU and GPU. Idle temps were 48°C on the CPU and 44°C on the GPU (Ambient 33°C).

TL;DR: If you are using both DisplayPort + HDMI cables at the same time, please check if you are getting the highest 170Hz for the DisplayPort if you care about that -- you might not be, mine was capped at 120Hz instead. ASUS TUF VG27AQL1A was also a serious contender but I ended up choosing M27Q because of KVM and overall slightly better performance.

Panel is beautiful for sure. Bright, good contrast the panel really excels at that.
