- Great for competitive gaming
- IPS for great color production
- 1080p resolution for no compatibility issues when switching platforms
- Fast refresh rate of 280Hz
- ELMB for great overdrive
Brief review (since there aren't any as of me writing this)
- Good color accuracy out of the box. Didn't have to adjust much other than the obscenely high brightness that every monitor seems to come with nowadays. - ELMB is surprisingly good even though it seems to lock the overdrive. If I had to guess, it would be overdrive 60 since it's the default setting...
I'm using asus vg249q ips 144hz as a second monitor, and before LG GN600 I was using Asus vg259qm 280hz, which has one of the best contrast ratio, black uniformity, picture quality and response time among ips monitors. As for black uniformity, this monitor is awesome.
The perfect monitor?
I was looking for a monitor that would allow me to have my PC, PS4, and Switch all connected on the same screen without having to move anything around. Considering this is a 280hz, you're covered for competitive, you get the IPS for amazing color production to enjoy single player gaming, it's 24.5in...
So yes long story short i upgraded my vs238h-p to a vg259qm yesterday after looking around at various 1080p panels for about a month. This is a good monitor and i may of had a good loto win here we will see, No dead pixels yet, BLB is very minimal and for ips glow i couldn't notice anything remotely concerning, Side note i do not play in the dark, i have not tested in a complete pitch black room for BLB/Glow but from the darkened room i did the test on, it was more than acceptable IMO, ive seen worse examples posted here. . Easy to setup, Stand is of decent quality, not great but not terrible.

Good for the Highly Competitive Gamer
So to start off, I got on my Girlfriend's Amazon account just to write this review because I was so pleased with this product (I ordered the monitor on her account since she has Prime). Let me just say wow, the difference in performance I got from this monitor from a 144hz monitor to a 280 hz was tr...
Hello everyone, been wondering what's not to like with this monitor ASUS VG259q coz I don't see a lot of reviews only the VG259QM
Wouldnt really recommend the asus vg259qm had it and returned it. Color is horrible, the text is blurry due to the matte anti reflective coating and it’s own sharpness ’vividpixel’ makes the image even look more horrible.
