They are biased. They only talk about scooters they can get a commission from. They NEVER talk about the Zero 10x, but always mention the Apollo Pro. On their website, they claim there are no Canadian dealers for the Zero line, while in reality I know of at least 2 dealers - Smartwheel near Toronto, Ride The Glide in Victoria.

The logo on the front is already looking terrible after about 3 hours of use. Yes, my son is crazy on this thing but I think the logo should have been painted on and not a sticker. That aside, he says it's better than the mongoose he previously used and feels like a pro riding it.

The Apollo's gear range is a nice tight grouping like a road bike to help find that perfect cadence to go fast on epicly long rides (but sacrifices some hill climbing ability). The belt drive makes it ideal for a low maintenance commuter bike with no oil stains on your work pants. If I did it all over again I'd either do the same thing, or get something like the State All-Road with both wheelsets (an on-road focused 700c and an off-road focused 650b). Then swap the wheels as needed instead of having two separate bikes.

I was under the impression that this was a "full size" scooter suitable for a 16 year old (5'9") and it wasn't. In fact his sister, who is 10 years old and 5' found it slightly small but useable. Otherwise, I'm sure it works.

I would love to use Apollo but I love the modern design of the reddit and find Apollo a little dated looking in my opinion. But hands down. You are the most open and one of the most dedicated iOS developers I have seen! Keep it up!

so please calm down a bit and take it for what it is: stuff break (and judging from pictures the scooter was in good use before the shock broke and noone knows how much wear OP put on his scooter before this happened - I rememeber the guy here a few months ago with his Apollo Pro that broke down and later it turned out that he regularly used it for stunts like going up and down stairs...), and sometimes stuff breaks in dangerous places - the same happenes with cars all the time. And as long as I don't see postings of broken shocks here every week, I not alarmed at all...
