* As close to 55\*40\*23 cm as possible since this is intended as a carry on one bag travel bag. Pretty much, I'm trying to pack for RTW travel that would include both hiking, remotely working with laptop, and fitting in a carry-on; and I don't know how to look for advice from people that have done the same.

<p>EDIT: I should have added a few major details:</p>

<li>my these 40+10L still don&#39;t account for  outside stretchy pockets , where I coul stuff things outside the airport as well. One big pocket could certainly fit a tent, a puffy jacket and a medkit</li>
<li>my tent is frameless, uses 1 trekking pole. I do expect this to be the largest butt-hurt and will either send that pole + stakes separately or will get new ones. Either way, I expect to move on land much more than by plane.</li>

I recently gave the Wandrd Prvke a trail run because I had heard good things, I hated it. My main turnoff of the Prvke is the roll top. I just can't do it. The comfort just isn't it either

The lower half of the shoulder straps is dedicated to rails for the sliding sternum strap—our favorite kind because of how granular the adjustment is. It’s a shame our sample didn’t come with one, though the 21-liter daypack volume of this version doesn’t necessitate one. There are also loops for attaching a waist strap, but again, they’re really not a must-have at this capacity. Despite the difference in sizing, it’s nice to know that the larger cube can get the job done if you prefer the Deep but have the 21L backpack

There are two ways to access the main compartment; via the rolltop or through the clamshell opening. As a rolltop, the PRVKE 21L’s volume is expandable; thus, the beefy G-hook is length-adjustable, and there are two sets of hook-side velcros on the front side where the strips of loop-side velcros at the back can attach to. This is fine for quick but partial access to the main compartment. For full access, though, clamshell access is the way to go

 The easy answer to this question is yes, but I am not intending to use it on my South Island leg of Teodoro next year. Mainly this has to do with the kind of terrain that I will be hiking in the South Island and a real big desire for me to try and get my base weight down as low as possible. So I have some ideas for packs that I'm potentially going to be looking at for that purpose. but also I generally just found that the art hall was much larger than I actually needed whilst I was on trail

 But I would just say bear in mind that they are a Us-based company and so if you're purchasing this pack and using it overseas, you might not get quite the same service as you would if you were in the Us. Okay, so we are coming up to the end of this review and I'm sure that the question you are all dying to know is whether I will keep using this pack in the future. The last style I wanted to bring up was the front loader. Zpacks and ULA are the 2 main UL companies making packs of this style from what I can tell (but I’d love to hear if there are others I don’t know about). Zpacks has the [Arc Haul Zip]([URL REMOVED] and ULA has the [Camino 2]([URL REMOVED] have concerns about this style as it feels like the zipper could fail easier on this style than a back panel loading pack. Both Zpacks and ULA have straps going across the pack to help this, but I’m not sure if that’s enough?

One example of a center zip backpack is the Flatiron Pack from RedPaw Packs. Matt over at RedPaw is a friend of mine and sent over the following photos of his personal Flatiron pack for [an example for this post]([URL REMOVED] center zip is the smallest opening of the three examples I’m writing about, but it’s also the lightest. For the weight of a little extra fabric and less than a foot of zipper, you can pick up a pack that allows you to reach into the bottom of your pack with ease. This is especially useful if your load out has several small items that fall deep into your pack, under the lighter, bulkier items at the top

  Just playing around. The orange thinner slickline works better on the cinchlines and a longer cord on the pockets make them easier to use. The pockets have metal hooks on them instead of line lock and cord. Pros and cons
