I love my Jansport Big Student backpack, but I hate how flimsy the handle is. I love my [Swiss Gear especially the sturdy handle and comfortable back support, but it’s too small. Any recommendations for something that combines the 2 backpacks? I work in the tech industry and am also a graduate student, so I carry a mix of technology and books with me on a daily basis.

I love my Jansport Big Student backpack. It's basically everything I need in a bag.

A very popular brand. The material helps deflect rain and spilled drinks and dries quickly when washed. The padded straps were very cushiony upon purchase but with time and heavy textbooks, they did eventually rip. If you know how to sew, it can be fixed though.

My mom throws everything in a Jansport Big Student bag, it's kind of a mess but it works fine. If you're worried about paring things down, do a trial run at home as mmolle also suggested.

Great backpack, I've always been pleased with jansport. Hopefully the quality hasn't changed from my ten year old backpack. But...what is with the white lining?! Terrible. I predict it will get grimey and inked up quickly. Pretty treacherous design change.

I had a Jansport Big Student about fifteen or so years ago and it didn't have a laptop compartment, was lightweight and was almost like a three dimensional pocket in that it could hold an alarming number of items. I just got a new Big Student with a laptop compartment and it definitely does not hold as much stuff as my old one did. I kind of hate it... I'd be willing to switch to a different brand and can pay $100+, but would have to be at least 34L.

Black backpack is completely white inside. If you have kids, or have ever met a kid, you know why this is a stupid design element. Returning as it would be disgusting within a month.
