I wouldn't buy or recommend this particular receiver.

turn off the stereo, the sound bar turns off. Change the volume on the stereo, the sound bar volume changes. Mute the television, and the stereo also mutes. How annoying! Connecting to a TV? - I'm still trying to figure that out

1 as I have a real bastard of a living room layout for a wired system of any type. Then I went to a friends house with the Costco Klipsch combo ( Klipsch 5.1.2 and Yamaha TSR 700) and it ruined me

More than outstanding for the price. A few quirks, needs to be on to catch some inputs. All good at this price point. Worth it

Been using it for several weeks now and have really enjoyed it. I previously had the Yamaha RX-6VA, this model's more expensive and slightly more fully-featured older brother. I have had roughly the same experience with this one as I did with the RX in terms of ease of use and sound quality, and though it has fewer features, it did not lose any that I personally miss. And it's $200 cheaper, which is not insignificant considering the price

Distortion

Hooked up the Mani 2, didn’t touch anything per the instruction manual, and it sounds terrible. It’s WAY too loud, and anytime the music swells at all there’s a fraying sound. For reference, I used to play most records around volume 30 with the ART DJ, with the Mani 2 30 was blasting and distorted, had to turn it down to like 17 for the same volume and could still hear fraying.

Not true 4k120 or 8K60 pass thru compatible.

Yamaha sold a unit stating it is 4k120 or 8k60 hz compatible pass thru. The system cannot provide pass through higher than 4k60. Yamaha has lied to its consumers. They promised an HDMI board replacement and that program was initially pushed to spring 2021, then summer 2021, then September 2021

Have had this reciver a week and it's a really nice receiver for the money Bluetooth works great fm stations come in nicely.I am only giving it three stars because the bass is very weak .my last reciver i only needed the bass at half way and was enough.Not so with this reciver it's up all the way and it's still not enough bass

I am aware the TSR-700 is buggy, but I wouldn't need HDMI 2.1 at the moment or 8K. Overall, I am looking for clear sound and nice bass that can definitely "wow" myself and other guests.
