 And they're not super thick. So, this is a vintage series. So, it's got the reinforcement rings on the inside and it's not a thick shell, but it is a pretty chunky drum, isn't it? But it's got the sturdy mount on it and this is a cool feature. You can literally, if you imagine that's the bottom of the tom, so spin it the right way

 Welcome to Drum Addicts on Anthony's TV. We've got Josh and we're going to talk about this

 lovely SQ-2. So, Sonar is new to us. We've had it, I don't know, a month or so, so maybe

 a little bit longer. We had the lovely Chris Colman in, come and bash the hell out of them.

 But this is our first SQ-2. So, people, if you don't know about SQ-2, they're sort of

 Sonar's flagship. There's like 360 billion options so you can paint and lugs and chrome

 or nickel or gold or just millions and millions of combinations of what you can tailor it

 to you. So, this is one we ordered and it's just on our shelf in the store, which is where

 we got it this morning. So, you bashed it. What did you like?

 I loved it. For me, Tom's and the kick drum are so important. Obviously the snare as well,

 but a lot of the stuff that I play is really Tom Heavy. I love big, big sounding drums

 and these, they did it in the low sounding and they sing as well. I don't really like

 it when drums are like dead. You know when you hit a tom and it's like flat, yeah, choked.

 I like it to, obviously new heads help that, but I love it to just sing straight away.

 And even before you tuned it, it was doing that anyway. So, for that, that was a big,

 big positive for me. Well, it's sort of made in Germany. So, this

 is the Sonar sort of flagship range. Most of their sort of signature and artist series

 stuff is all made in Germany. So, it's got just amazing quality, like the chrome work

 and the lugs. I mean, they're not light drums, are they?

 No, no, no. And they're not super thick. So, this is a

 vintage series. So, it's got the reinforcement rings on the inside and it's not a thick shell,

 but it is a pretty chunky drum, isn't it? But it's got the sturdy mount on it and this

 is a cool feature. You can literally, if you imagine that's the bottom of the tom, so spin

 it the right way. Perfectly demonstrated. When you turn the knob, it slightly squeezes

 the lugs and you can just slightly tune or EQ the drum, even once you've tuned it, just

 to get it absolutely perfect. That's more of a room thing, in my opinion. You could

 just tweak it to fit a room. I mean, we're in a relatively small room. If you're in a

 big barn of a venue, that might be less useful. Well, it will change with different sizes

 when you're doing like a pub or a club. So then, whatever, it will make a difference.

 It's just a cool feature. And like with everything on this drum, it's all rubber isolated. So,

 none of the metal touches the wood or anything like that. It all goes inside the drum. Yeah,

 exactly. It's all isolated. So, even the mount around the lug has got the big rubber isolation

 and that's on the floor tom brackets. Everything is, there's no metal to wood contact, which

 is part of why it makes it sing. So, when you say it, it really vibrates. I mean, this

 floor tom, it just goes, doesn't it? I just wanted a second one. Well, you usually play

 one up, two down, don't you? Yeah, I do usually. In a video when Josh is playing, where are

 you playing one up and one down? Obviously, this kit is a 12. I was playing the 12, yeah.
