 I didn't realize the phone was learning my use patterns. After about a week the battery life is great! I use my phone all day for business and personal and now I no longer need to charge it in the middle of the day. First time I've actually used the face recognition on a phone. And it's working great

 The fingerprint takes some getting used to - being on the front and having to get my finger pretty flat. The camera is probably way better than outstanding. 🤣 I'm still learning to use it but it's got some amazing features and the zoom.

Amazing phone and features

  The Good: So even with all the ranting there is some good with this phone. To start things off the camera has some nice new features. The fact that you can zoom in 100x is pretty impressive, even though at that distance any picture looks like it was taken with a potato. The camera also has a laser auto focus which is pretty interesting to watch in video, the camera will literally adjust to movement without you actually moving

 Again not horrible but the Note 10+ was just so much slimmer and more comfortable in the hand. Lastly the cost. I bought my Note directly from Samsung for $700 brand new with a pair of galaxy buds and a charger included, so at $1200 this phone should have outperformed my 2.5 year old Note across the board, but to be quite honest its mediocre at best

 I only have my thumbs set for all 4 scans and more times than not it still can't pick it up. Size is somewhat bulkier, primarily due to the raised camera overlay, which results in the case being somewhat bulkier. Again not horrible but the Note 10+ was just so much slimmer and more comfortable in the hand. Lastly the cost

For the cost, could've been better

 10x zoom is good only in bright lighting. But the camera lets me down every time I try to take a picture of my kid inside, every time it comes out as a blurry mess.

5. Battery-- I can get a full days use from the phone with battery to spare. I'm answering emails, watching videos, playing some more powerful mobile games, play game pass on it, and browsing websites. The phone doesn't get hot and performance does not slow down

2. Screen size-- As I indicated earlier, I love big phones because it provides a better media consumption experience and is better for online gaming.

Best Samsung I've owned

I don't like how big and bulky this phone is. It is also very heavy. It has a great camera and other nice features but I do miss being able to expand my memory with an sd card.

Usually, a review of a superpowered phone from Samsung consists of a bunch of promises and then a bunch of reality checks on those promises. With the Galaxy S21 Ultra, there are fewer caveats than before. The battery lasts beyond a full day. There’s a beautiful new design

There’s no getting around that this is a massive, relatively heavy phone. But Samsung also has a ton of experience making gigantic phones, and it has applied everything it has learned here. For example, contrary to the current trend, the screen is still just a little curved on the sides. I think it was the right call — it narrows the bezels on the left and right just that much more, making the phone easier to hold

8 inches diagonally, which is basically tablet territory. If you are keeping score — and you know that Samsung is — the S21 Ultra’s screen spec is 0.1 inches bigger than the 6.7-inch iPhone 12 Pro Max

 The Note 20 Ultra fixed the worst bugs but didn’t improve image quality. Thus far, the “ultra” line hasn’t been especially ultra.

More phone, less money

 The only difference is the screen size and that the s21 plus has a 4800 mAh battery while the s21 has a 4000 mAh. The ultra however, offers higher resolution, much higher ppi, the larger screen, larger battery than both (5000mAh). The ultra has much more powerful camera as well, the curved screen, camera features and settings. So if you want all the features and performance and screen resolution (I like the stream movies on my lunch breaks) then go with the Ultra, if you just want to upgrade to the newest and fastest phone, and you don't need to have 100000 tabs open, get the base s21

I upgraded from the Galaxy s8 to the S21 Ultra with 256 gb of storage and 12gb of ram. I will start off by saying go with the Ultra or the base, you pay $200 extra for half an inch of screen on the plus (this is called decoy price, you see this at movies where the popcorn medium is only 1 dollar less than the large, but is 3 more than the small, so you might as well go large.) I'll give more detial at the end.  Camera is super high quality, zoom is incredible

  Why the ultra or base and not the plus? The s21 has a better ppi (pixel density, higher the density, better the picture) than the s21 plus. They both have the same 8gb of ram, the same storage sizes, same resolution, same cameras, same material, same flat screen, the same backwards wireless charging capability (same for ultra), etc. The only difference is the screen size and that the s21 plus has a 4800 mAh battery while the s21 has a 4000 mAh. The ultra however, offers higher resolution, much higher ppi, the larger screen, larger battery than both (5000mAh)

) I'll give more detial at the end.  Camera is super high quality, zoom is incredible. Front camera even takes good pics (I mean I looked good, so should you)  Processor is as advertised, insanely fast, even at the standard limited benchmark (there is an enhanced processing mode to take away cpu 70% limit). Desktop mode is great, this phone is almost as fast in Dex as my actual Acer laptop

  Battery life is phenomenal, can get 2 full days out of 1 charge if you use the phone less than 4 or 5 hours a day at 1080p res. 1440p, super clear and one of the bargaining point for the Ultra over the base. The refresh rate of 120 hz is incredible, I spent the first 10 minutes just swiping on the phone in awe of this. The ultra is also the only version with the curved screen,, the s21 and plus have flat screens

Help me finding my perfect phone for an affordable price

 I know this is a budget blower, but I find the understated aesthetics of the Redmi Note 10 Pro much more appealing. The X3 Pro's two-tone finish and slightly obnoxious branding definitely ain't doing anything at all for me, especially as that shiny central strip is a total grease magnet. You can grab the POCO X3 Pro in three different colours, this blue effort, otherwise also black or bronze, and I've got to say that darker effort definitely looks a bit better than this one. But the good thing is that the POCO X3 Pro is suitably durable despite being made of polycarbonate, no scratches or scuffs to speak of so far, and if you are paranoid, you do at least get a condom case bundled in the box there to help keep it extra protected

 Indoor snaps also come out well if your subject is perfectly still, while the night mode helps to brighten up a dimly lit scene, and the AI mode can swap between features to give you the best possible shot, although at times this does also really piddle about with the colour reproduction and gives you an artificial looking image. The addition of a 2MP depth sensor helps to produce some stunning portrait shots, adding in a tweakable bokeh effect in the background. And you've also got an 8MP ultra-wide angle lens, which again is respectably efficient for an affordable blower. The colour reproduction isn't quite as natural, and you will see some distortion at times, but it does the job when needed

While the design here still sucks, those specs are stronger than ever. This mighty budget blower is powered by the Snapdragon 860, which is ideal for gaming on PubG etc and can handle Genshin Impact if you scale down the settings. That camera tech is good for the price too, as the Poco X3 Pro captures good looking photos in most conditions.

It's an IPS screen rather than OLED however, so if that bothers you, maybe check out Xiaomi's Redmi Note 10 Pro instead. That's still one of my favourite phones under £300 from 2021.
