 Apple, for example, only includes higher refresh rates on the iphone 13 pro and pro max, not the regular iphone 13. battery life was a highlight with the s20 fe and that's true again with the s21 fe. Both phones have a 4500 milliamp battery, that's bigger than the s21 battery, which makes sense since the phone itself is bigger. I'Ve been getting well beyond a day out of the s21 fe, even with the refresh rate set to high, which is really nice to see

Also get wireless charging and the ability to use the back of your phone as a wireless charging pad for other devices, both the regular s21 and the pixel 6 can do that too

 That means the s21 fe is much better for taking closely zoomed photos. You can zoom up to 30 times digitally with the s21 fe, and that includes a three times optical zoom as well. The pixel 6 by comparison can only zoom in seven times digitally you also. Don'T get that dual recording mode on the pixel 6, but google has some other camera tricks that samsung is missing

Samsung’s Galaxy S21 FE review: A solid $700 phone that comes at an awkward time

 The s9 fes cameras aren't bad they're, just not as good as the pixel 6 and, let's not forget the pixel 6. Only has two rear cameras lacking any sort of dedicated telephoto option like you get from samsung on the flip side, samsung actually increased the resolution of the s21 fes front, cam to 32 megapixels up from 10 on the s21, which is kind of nice. If you like. Taking a lot of selfies or videos for social media, but at the same time, i don't really think this is one option that really changes the overall impact of the device, leaving it feel more like a nice bonus and less of a you know notable achievement at This point the snapdragon 888 chip inside the fe is a pretty well known, quantity

 The s21 fv lands squarely between the 6.2 inch s21 and 6.7 inch s21, plus around back. The s21 fe still features samsung's contour cut design, but instead of having a camera bump with a metal shroud, the phone's back is made out of a single piece of plastic

 Better photos has a more attractive design, and if you get the unlocked model directly from google, it cost 100 less too. The pixel 6 is simply the better buy. Unless you really care about millimeter wave 5g, which the unlocks pixel 6 doesn't support or having access to a telephoto camera, the s21 fe is so late. Samsung is already planning on showing off its next big flagship in just a couple of weeks

Samsung Galaxy S21 FE review

Performance wise it actually holds up, love the size, finger print at the back, but the battery is horrendous. Had it for around 4 and a half years, so I would like to get something that might possibly hold up similarly for around 4 years. My budget is around 400 euros and I could get a Samsung galaxy S21 FE for around 380 or the Pixel 6 for around the same price. Was thinking about the Oneplus 9 pro which I could get for around 440, but that one might be too big for me considering what I'm used to

 My old Galaxy S7 looked practically primitive when set against the S20 FE. And so, I decided to give a midrange phone a try.  At first glance, the S20 FE seemed too good to be true. The screen, while not 4K, still looks great with the 120Hz refresh rate enabled

 But it just keeps happening. No software update really fixed the screen, as suspected. This is a pure hardware messup.  Here's the cold, honest truth: the screen on the S20 FE is terrible

 Adding on, the front-facing camera is pretty lackluster. Not bad, but it's not flagship levels by any stretch. You'll need to be in absolutely optimal lighting to get a decent picture out of it. So if you're looking for a phone to take selfies indoors with, I'd look elsewhere

Great phone, marred by some pretty big issues.

1. Battery life. A little about my settings: after doing all updates, I factory reset the phone to have a "clean" install. Downloaded all apps and then turned auto brightness and NFC off, only have bluetooth on when in the car, screen set to 60hz refresh, 5G off, and mostly on fiber-connected WiFi at home

 Screen on time has continued to improve from the barely 5 hours before to 6.5-7 with the same usage now. As such, I have added one star to my review. I still encounter ghost touches and I am not sure how much of an improvement the case change has been to signal strength, but this has gone from an underwhelming experience to a solid option for those that can get a good deal on it

 On my S20 FE, this could get me 9 hours on-screen time for one charge easily. The same settings on the S21 FE barely eek out 5 hours with a slightly smaller screen and the same battery size. Not sure if this is a bad android security update (which will prompt an addendum to this review next month) or the phone itself. But underwhelming after 2 weeks of usage

3. Connectivity - I wouldn't say there are rampant issues per se, but it does not seem to have the signal strength when using 4G LTE when out and about. Again, the case may be a factor here, and will be using without for a couple days.

Edited: S21FE - an okay phone, stick with an all-TPU case

 * iPhone 12 - problems with oled screens, bit more pricey, but main regret would be losing some of my apps (mostly Locus hiking navigation, which is phenomenal), however I like its power, stable system and 5 years of updates, quality camera and after some years I can still sell it for a bit of money and upgrade, and it's display is kind of perfect middle size, not so small, not so big. However in ios there is a bit of a problem with notifications.



i was thinking of buying *Xiaomi Redmi Note 9 Pro* but the display is a monster (6.67") and therefore the dimensions, too.

can i find a phone that is pretty much on par with this phone's specs (apart from battery probably lol :) that has a display that is under 6"? 

(do they even make phones that are under 5½" nowadays? :D)

ps: i am in turkey, so some brands  are not available here (e.g, motorola, google pixel)

So  I used to have a Samsung S10+ and moved to an older iphone 7+ when my  financial situation tumbled. Now I'm looking to upgrade but unsure of  what to go with. Was thinking either getting a used iphone XS Max/iphone  11 vs a used Pixel 3 XL/Samsung S9-S10 etc.. or maaaybe splurge to an  iphone 12 or Pixel 4/Samsung S20-S21 etc..

I  had a friend who used to work for tech companies who swore by Android,  loved the freedom it gave in using 3rd party apps etc.. (like being able  to download retro gaming emulators etc... that apple blocks but looking  back at the situation, I do 95% of my gaming on my home PC or laptop.) I  don't really find myself "too" confined within the IOS ecosystem .

So  TL:DR = What are the actual practical real world freedoms and  advantages of Android over IOS? What kinds of apps specifically would be  available on Android and not on IOS? I'm more tech savvy than most but  tbh I can't really think of many apps/features off the top of my head  that would sway me to Android.

In the UK, and I've been looking to replace my dying iPhone SE with an Android for nearly a year now, but still haven't found the right phone. My budget is £150-£200, I'm looking for a decent camera (better than my current phone's 12mp one at least), a headphone jack, and just a solid phone that will last me a while. I'd prefer to avoid the Chinese brands in case they get banned here. I'm currently looking into the Moto G8 range and the Samsung A20e, A20s, A21s etc, but I'm a bit confused by the difference between all those different models. Any advice? Also, I was looking for ideally 64GB of storage but I presume if there's expandable storage that won't be an issue?

I really hate planned obsolescence so I think what I want most of all is a phone that will last a while, not just 2 years. I know that's rare in the current market, but my current phone is nearly 4 years old and it's an iPhone, so I'm hoping there will be something similar available today.

Hey guys and gal's, I'm definitely going to get a s21 ultra, and I just wanted your opinions on the 16gb of ram in the 512mb model.

For me, 256gb is enough storage, and I've read that the extra ram is just overkill. My main thought is if the extra ram would affect battery life at all?

For reference, I'm still using my s9+, which meets all my needs, and the only reason I'm upgrading is because I'm handing it down to my missus (and I'm a gadget nerd so I must have flagship).

The pixel 4a/4a 5g have caught my eye, but I'm not sure if they'd be a complete upgrade over what I have (aside from the camera). Are there any other phones that occupy the same niche the OP3T did 4 years ago?
