 when it comes down to this device, it really doesn't make too much sense to pick it up anymore because of the longevity. Although it still has, you know, great build quality, beautiful display, pretty good cameras. It's really not getting any more updates and there's really no point in picking it up because of that. Even The Note 10 is a much better phone nowadays than this one just because of its software updates

 You have a headphone jack as well which is crazy. You have that S pen which is also really insane to have on this type of phone. It's like a you know stylus I'm sure most you know what it is by now and you also have a microsd card slot as well which is super crazy. Now as I mentioned before, when you have something like the Samsung Galaxy Note 9, you're getting such amazing Io that is really you know untouched

 You know you're not getting like the fastest phone in the world anymore. If you want it, you would go for something like the Note 20 Ultra or the S21 Ultra or wait for the S22 Ultra. but I think this phone is still a pretty decent performing phone and obviously if I had to use it, I would be totally okay with it. But there are other devices in the market now which rival this thing for probably you know, a little bit more money, but it's definitely worth the upgrade

 The battery was at 18% upon arrival so I plugged it into the included charger and went out for the night. When I returned more than 5 hours later, the battery was at 24% so I was shocked. I messaged Amazon and after a little troubleshooting, it appears the charger is defective. They gave me a credit to buy a new charger on Amazon and all is good

 I found that if I leave wifi OFF it will only drain 5% overnight. So for some reason wifi now causes the battery life to shorten considerably. With only a 90 day warranty on the "renewed" phones, I am out of luck for repair 10 months after purchasing the phone.  **ORIGINAL 4 STAR REVIEW** I bought a "Renewed" phone from Seller CellGuru

Nice phone only a few minor problems

The bloatware from other companies suck and the software on a Pixel just works.  I'm coming from a Samsung note 9 to a now Pixel 5a.  Very nice phone for a budget price.

 I didn't realize the phone was learning my use patterns. After about a week the battery life is great! I use my phone all day for business and personal and now I no longer need to charge it in the middle of the day. First time I've actually used the face recognition on a phone. And it's working great

 The fingerprint takes some getting used to - being on the front and having to get my finger pretty flat. The camera is probably way better than outstanding. 🤣 I'm still learning to use it but it's got some amazing features and the zoom.

Amazing phone and features

  The Good: So even with all the ranting there is some good with this phone. To start things off the camera has some nice new features. The fact that you can zoom in 100x is pretty impressive, even though at that distance any picture looks like it was taken with a potato. The camera also has a laser auto focus which is pretty interesting to watch in video, the camera will literally adjust to movement without you actually moving

 Again not horrible but the Note 10+ was just so much slimmer and more comfortable in the hand. Lastly the cost. I bought my Note directly from Samsung for $700 brand new with a pair of galaxy buds and a charger included, so at $1200 this phone should have outperformed my 2.5 year old Note across the board, but to be quite honest its mediocre at best

 I only have my thumbs set for all 4 scans and more times than not it still can't pick it up. Size is somewhat bulkier, primarily due to the raised camera overlay, which results in the case being somewhat bulkier. Again not horrible but the Note 10+ was just so much slimmer and more comfortable in the hand. Lastly the cost

For the cost, could've been better

 10x zoom is good only in bright lighting. But the camera lets me down every time I try to take a picture of my kid inside, every time it comes out as a blurry mess.

5. Battery-- I can get a full days use from the phone with battery to spare. I'm answering emails, watching videos, playing some more powerful mobile games, play game pass on it, and browsing websites. The phone doesn't get hot and performance does not slow down

2. Screen size-- As I indicated earlier, I love big phones because it provides a better media consumption experience and is better for online gaming.
