Roku TV Wireless Speakers vs Sonos Play 5

5 inches wide and 2.5 inches tall, and while it fit the 65-inch Roku TV I used for testing, the soundbar comes with a wall-mount kit as well. It offers a 120-watt output -- no subwoofer on board -- and includes a number of EQ settings including bass boost and night mode.

I mean come on! Sonos is a godsend. First of all, they are the cleanest looking speakers around, the app control is amazing, the sound is amazing, the fact that you can build your setup piece by piece is amazing and don’t even get me started on the SUB!!

3: Streamed bluetooth from phone to sound bar using spotify app and same song **NO CRACKLE**?!?!?!. 4: Moved subwoofer/disconnect still crackles. Checked with equalizer settings on spotify app, still Crackles. So it only crackles while I stream music off of the Spotify App that is on the Roku TV that came installed on my TCL Series 5, 55 inch TV?!?!?!?

Will update the review if/when I actually hear back from them. 2/19 update: Was going to change this to 4 stars, as they did replace my unit. Still curious what will happen when the wireless quits after the warranty expires, as they don't seem very user-serviceable. My new complaint is with their software

i have two sets of the roku wireless speakers. bought one set and they were so good four months later (these were in 2020) purchased the second set.

This is the best work Sonos has done yet, and it's an outstanding addition to their already excellent lineup of wireless multi-room audio speakers.

Plug the speakers in, then press and hold the Home button on your TV's remote for five seconds to bring up the Pairing menu. Select Speakers, and the TV will walk you through pairing the speakers, then pairing the new remotes with the TV. The process includes identifying the left and right channels and ensuring that the remotes can control your TV and the speakers' volume levels correctly.

Dialogue is clear, highs are crisp, and the bass is actually surprisingly good for something without a subwoofer. I was afraid that these would be a downgrade on the low end compared to the 10-year-old Sony sound bar with sub they replaced, but that's really not been the case. Really, these speakers are almost perfect, except for one fairly significant annoyance. Whenever you unpause something on your Roku, these speakers take about a second or so to start playing sound again

Steve wasn't blown away by the speaker, particularly for the price (he said it delivered a lot of bass but otherwise sounded a little "boxy" and had some sibilance in the treble). But Ty and I were more enthusiastic about it because we've listened to a lot of these tabletop wireless speakers and don't have such high expectations.Sure, the price is somewhat lofty for a single speaker (or a pair) and you're probably going to get better sound for the money from a good set of affordable wired bookshelf speakers hooked up to a budget amplifier. We also know a single speaker just isn't going to produce a monster sound stage and have good stereo separation

The wireless rear speakers were also very week, barely audible, while the center bar was outputting 99% of the audible volume. I made sure Volume Leveling was turned off on my Roku settings. Same result. Roku can get this right by upgrading the CPU on the bar to whatever is in the Roku Ultra 2022

Which ever you get, they will be loud, in your face, and they are quite large too (desk space, floor space, wall space).
