We’ve had the Roborock S7 for 7 weeks on our main floor which is all hardwood and a few area rugs. I’m currently trial running several auto-empty vacs for our upstairs which has our 4 bedrooms and all carpet. Currently a few weeks into the Roomba S9+ with empty bin and let me just say… while it does a good job picking up on our low rise carpet, the app and technology feels about 5 years behind the Roborock tech and app. If anyone cares about specifics feel free to ask but I’m constantly surprised how poor the app and tech work

If I move it to a shared hall to clean (I try to do several halls once per week), its battery dies WAY faster than the old models did, so I can't just pass by and move it to different spots between other chores like I did with the old one - if I have to stand guard over the vacuum, what is the point of not just sweeping it myself? If I do one area, this model is usually dead before I get it to a second one. I used to be able to do them all with the same time between moving with an old model.

- When cleaning the filter on the vac, there is a ledge/overlay that massively gets full of debris (in my case short dog hair). I don't understand the purpose of this overlay but the auto-clean isn't strong enough to clean it out and I need to do it manually.

This thing vacuums so much faster and better than the irobot and the mopping feature is amazing compared to the braava m6. It mops and scrubs stains the m6 couldn't in a faster time.

85 inches tall, it can clean where a lot of other robot vacuums won’t fit. 

I tried the roborock s7 and between it not being able to back of its own dock, being obsessed with ramming into its own dock, getting stuck anytime it hit anything, not picking my anything off the carpet, it had air vents on the side (which I wasn’t used to coming from roomba) that sounds like a jet engine no matter what the speed setting was. I was already annoyed and the sound of a mini jet engine going through the house sent me over the edge in frustration! Am I to expect the same thing from the Deebot t8?

Cons - This is so loud. It is a vacuum though and i don't use it on the quietest mode. The dock is almost the loudness of a full upright vacuum. You will not be able to place this anywhere you'll be relaxing or taking calls

Waiting for this thing to break down which probably won’t be a long time from now so I can purchase a upgraded eufy. Roborock suction isint that great either. I recently ordered a replacement battery for my eufy because the Roborock wasn’t doing a good job and put them to work at the same time for the same amount of time and looked at which one collected more dirt and take a wild guess which one did it better. Yep the less then $200 4 year old eufy

I have mixed feelings about this robot, who we named Hank (you are supposed to name him for the app). I find him to be quieter than a regular vacuum, and the suction in normal mode is very good. Our carpets and hardwood floors get very clean. However, he seems to suffer from some form of dementia

Love that my wife and I can each have the app on our phones. at $450 (500 with 3 year service plan) I got a great deal on this Shark bot during the Black Friday sale, which is why I give it 5-star for value. With three indoor cats, the hair and sand demands are great on this little trooper, and so far it is meeting them pretty well. Sand pick-up is great but not perfect, especially at the edges of throw-rug and up against walls, but it is pretty good, and generally good enough for me

This is not true. If you want your Roborock S7 to perform multiple passes in some or all rooms, YOU will have to do so manually in the app. This is not something that can be done via the Schedule-Menu as of 2022-03-22. Bin design is SMALL: if you have the auto-empty base it will not matter, but if you buy this as a stand-alone unit you will notice the need to empty it

Now I just let it go where ever it decides to go but it doesn't seem to be any smarter when it comes to being logical with it's patterns. I still see it stopping a foot or two short of the wall and cutting rooms in half where it will do one half during one cycle, then move to another room before coming back to do the other half of the original room. Doesn't seem to bright to me when it comes to planning its work.

The Roborock S7 has exceeded my expectations plus some! I went from sweeping everyday to about once a week. The mopping function leaves a bit to be desired but thats expected. Overall, this vacuum does what it’s meant to do which is make my life easier. I select which rooms I want cleaned and it does the rest

And that's it. I'm not trying to get this thing to launch into orbit. When I downloaded the app, it could not vacuum our house without first doing a "room mapping". Why?
