- Gets stuck all the damn time
- Regressed in others
- Suction improved, but battery longevity decreased
- Great for high pile carpet, but not low clearance
- Shark (Ninja) makes a lot of really bad products
I’m currently trial running several auto-empty vacs for our upstairs which has our 4 bedrooms and all carpet. Currently a few weeks into the Roomba S9+ with empty bin and let me just say… while it does a good job picking up on our low rise carpet, the app and technology feels about 5 years behind the Roborock tech and app. If anyone cares about specifics feel free to ask but I’m constantly surprised how poor the app and tech work. Ghost rooms, connection failures, inaccurate post run results… considering how long iRobot has been in the game I’m just really surprised it’s this far behind.

Has a lot of potential if they refine their software
This does a good enough job cleaning, and the hardware itself is pretty good. One weakness is the rotating brush on the side, which can curl up into a useless ball within weeks. At $40 for a three pack, it can cost upwards of $400/year if I want to be diligent. It seems to hold up better on smooth f...

Great potential but defective design on the lid contacts
When it works, it works flawlessly. It really picks up ANYTHING. It even picked up a whole heap of coins that was somehow on the floor.
The issues are that it's hard to make sure that the cleaning is "uniformly" made around the house. It tends to vacuum 20 times on the room where the base is, and o...

I currently have a Roomba s9+, but have become more and more interested in the Roborock s7. We have a mixture of hardwood, tile and carpet ( as well as area rugs). I do love the auto-emptying on my Roomba, but I don't love certain things like the constant replacement of the brush extractors and sometimes wonky navigation.

Not for high pile carpet
Quick Summary: I specifically got it for a large area (400sq ft) of mostly high pile carpet. The s9's low clearance made this is a no go. Retuned for the i7+, and am happy with that. Full review: The in-depth reviews of the s9 were super positive. The Amazon reviews focused on the price. I had a $20...

It's nice vac's decent, but...
s9+ used on main floor (about 1K sq ft). Mixed flooring - carpet in living room and office, hardwood in dining and kitchen. Two lap dogs, two teenagers. Does a decent job cleaning, but as expected not as good as an upright. It takes a LONG time to clean the main floor (on the everyday setting). With...

What is currently the best Roomba to buy with money??? Just tell me the model name i need to buy the best one i need to buy the best one i need to be right.
The S9+ is older but it does have some benefits over the J7+. For one, it has the most suction power than any Roomba. It also has wider rollers which means that it can clean a little faster than the J7+.
