Coming from a long time on and off OnePlus user there is now better value on the market. OnePlus used to have really high end specs for their never settle price. Now they have pretty much the same specs as most flagships at the same price. After trying some other devices I feel you can save a few hundred dollars elsewhere and get almost the same thing

 It can get super bright, good for use in direct sunlight, it's sharp, it's colorful, and it's very smooth. Even with it being a curved screen, I haven't experienced an obnoxious amount of accidental presses. That's been surprisingly fairly minimal now that I think about it. The screen houses a fingerprint scanner of course, and it's been pretty solid in my experience

 There's just a bit left to be desired, all things considered. OnePlus has a number of things to tweak, and if they can get there, you're looking at a top five camera experience easily. Say what you will about OnePlus. But the 10 Pro is a very good phone

 Your mileage may vary, of course. Now, this is all enhanced by the fact that dropping the screen resolution to FHD+, and the refresh rate down to 60 Hertz improves battery results, and in addition to that, things are enhanced by the charging speeds this phone comes with. We're looking at 65 watt fast charging, at least here in the States, and 50 watt fast wireless charging. It's still not my favorite, and it does need a good amount of work, but I'm no longer completely turned off by it

 Having a Pro mode is a plus. The Pixel still doesn't have one. Dual view video, 150 degree FOV, long exposure, and X-Pan are all neat things to try out. And the Pro Movie mode, which includes log support, is great for those that really want full flexibility when it comes to the added quality and the ability to grade footage

OnePlus 10 Pro long-term review: 5 months later

 Back in spring of this year, OnePlus released the 10 Pro, and I'm just gonna

 cut to the chase. I feel this phone has been a bit overlooked. I have no problem

 admitting that I didn't really give it a fair shake when it first dropped. I used

 it for a little while. I said, it's a solid phone. Then I quickly moved on, but

 I changed my mind and I gave it another shot. It's been about five months since I

 Aside from being the absolute most slippery phone I've ever held, it's also

 one of the sleekest ones too. It's very slim, it's got nice curvature, quality

 clicky buttons, and great haptics. All making for a premium and comfy phone

 to hang on to and use, and this volcanic black color not only looks stealthy, it's

 got a nice fingerprint resistant texture. I also like how wide the phone isn't. The

 screen is about as big as the S22 Ultras and the Pixel 6 Pros, but the body is

 narrower, giving it almost a compact feel, even with it still being a larger

 device. Now the quality continues with the display. It's an excellent panel to

 both look at and use. It can get super bright, good for use in direct sunlight,

 it's sharp, it's colorful, and it's very smooth. Even with it being a curved

 screen, I haven't experienced an obnoxious amount of accidental presses.

 experience. It's not as good as Samsung's Ultrasonic One, but as far as optical

 scanners go, it's pretty good. Nothing to really complain about, and it's

 decided to put it back down there on the 10T, but whatever. As always, I really

 enjoy the alert slider. It's very handy to have, especially when the phone's in

 your pocket or something. It would be nice if every OnePlus phone had one.

 Anyway, the stereo speakers sound good. They're tweakable and they come with

 Dolby Atmos. They are lacking on the low end. I do wish there was more bass, but

 it's not the end of the world. Overall, simply using the phone in the normal

 everyday flow has been a positive experience. There's no question this

 thing is quite the spec monster. It's got a powerful processor, lots of RAM, a

 nice-sized battery, and a good amount of fast storage. Performance has been great.

 Yes, the phone does get pretty warm during heavy usage and gaming. No severe

 overheating though. The cooling system does help out with that, and in fact, it

 actually stays cooler than the S22 Ultra. I do want to note that YouTube still

 seems to be running at a lower frame rate when scrolling through the app, and my

 guess is this happens because of how the software handles display tech and

 varying refresh rates. This happens on my other OnePlus devices and even the IQ9T,

 but not on my other devices with high refresh rates. It's kind of weird, but

 again, not the end of the world. Battery life has been excellent in my experience.

 Over time, the battery performance has leveled out and I can confidently get up

 to seven hours of screen-on-time with normal use, up to six hours with heavy

 use, and there's minimal dropage in standby. Your mileage may vary, of course.

 Now, this is all enhanced by the fact that dropping the screen resolution to
