Longines Legend Diver vs Tissot Gentleman Powermatic 80

Another day at the (home) office, another day desk diving in my favorite tool for the job, the Longines Legend Diver. I love the sleek supercompressor case with inner rotating bezel, the retro looks and Milanese mesh bracelet, the simple, classic shape and style, everything. Dresses up better than just about any diver I know of, but is still recognizably a tool watch and wears well casually, in the same way a well-finished field watch does.

Arrived on time, in its original box, include a 2 year international warranty, into the box include a book with the Tissot brand history in Switzerland. Algo a second book with a whole catalog of Tissot watches men and women. The watch looks better when you put in on your wrist. The “naval” blue really gives the clock a classy look

It is also automatic and has not let me down once. I know this brand holds up as that watch has been my day to day wear and still looks brand new. So, those that list "23 Jewels" have the plastic parts, while those that list "25 Jewels" do not. The Gentlemen Powermatic uses 25 Jewels, so, as I understand it, does not use plastic. Back to the aesthetics, what strikes me most about the looks is the watch face & hour markers. The face has a very slight texture to the dial, which adds dimension without being overwhelming
