Longines Legend Diver vs Rolex Milgauss

Another day at the (home) office, another day desk diving in my favorite tool for the job, the Longines Legend Diver. I love the sleek supercompressor case with inner rotating bezel, the retro looks and Milanese mesh bracelet, the simple, classic shape and style, everything. Dresses up better than just about any diver I know of, but is still recognizably a tool watch and wears well casually, in the same way a well-finished field watch does.

Especially when I am working in the MRI field. I’ve been rotating the Milgauss with my Grand Seiko SBGN every day for close to 3 years and really impressed with how it still hold up, looking very minty albeit all the scratches and knocks it received. Especially when the sunlight hit, the dial is really on another level, the steel still hold its shine and brush polish really well. So doubters on Rolex finishing , I can attest that their finishing is really solid and the 914L steel is not just a marketing gimmick
