I am a technology literate, have used PCs, Apple, Android etc., so this review is written by someone who has owned multiple laptops from Dell, Toshiba, Lenovo, and IBM. I have owned this laptop for over a year.  Good: Powerful laptop with excellent price-to-value

Wireless card is glitchy and trackpad is from hell.

 As a multi-boot user, I have had many frustrating run-ins with UEFI. This BIOS allows you to toggle legacy and/or UEFI boot off, switch which order they are tried in, and allows you to switch into a windows 8 compliance mode.  Performance- The Win7 install that shipped with my machine was slightly slower than what I would expect of a laptop with these specs. A few vendor-crapware uninstallations later and I was sailing smooth

 I then installed both windows 10 technical preview and kubuntu 14.10, which performed excellently.  Battery- This uses a haswell processor, so the CPU draws significatly more power (37w TDP vs 13w TDP) then the latest-generation intel mobile CPUs (the new broadwell parts are soldered to the socket, which is a deal-killer for me as I intend to upgrade the CPU later). However, lenovo packs a big ass battery in there, and you can get the 57++ which will give you apx

 And the greatest surprise is that I cannot feel it faster than my C2D 1G memory windows XP laptop. It will become slow when you turn on several programs. I will try to add another 4G memory to see the difference. Generally, I am disappointed although I still wish it is very durable

I can't believe it is a Thinkpad T!

 I have to say the keyboard is a true joy to type on, by far the best laptop keyboard I've ever used. I fully expect this Thinkpad to outlast my need for it..

The Enter key is SO soft and mushy and I've noticed many of the keys, like the pair of Space bars, are also soft and don't register contact multiple times. VERY frustrating as I can type around 50 wpm and I'm having to Backspace WAY too much! GRR!. I want to send this POS back and try another brand, but I've found no other alternatives in my searches.

 It might be marginally but use it for a couple hours and it's going to need a charge. I wouldn't recommend this for students. Having 2 classes in row will mean you're looking to sit near a plug in class to keep it charged. You can dim the screen down but that's not always possible when you're in a bright classroom

 My old model, with a card slot, I routinely swapped out cards depending on my usage. I was hoping the battery life was some improved. It might be marginally but use it for a couple hours and it's going to need a charge. I wouldn't recommend this for students

Good but with some disappointments.

We did not open the shrink wrap as there was no indication of a keyboard. Be aware of false depictions of keyboard included even in the video. Otherwise, the product should be ok if you want a tablet, not a PC.
