My roommates are worried that it's gonna crap out on me any day now, so I think it's time to move on. My fiance has an Acer Aspire 5 (I think it's 5, anyways) and he loves it. I've been thinking about getting one myself, but I see a lot of divided opinions on their brand. It was a little nerve-wracking, so I wanna look at other options.
I've seen the Acer Aspire 5 and that seems to be the direction I am heading. It looks like there are different versions though and clarification/assistance with the best fit would be great. I am also open to other brands. The main use of the laptop will be Microsoft Office & General Surfing, but I would like to easily play the games mentioned above (and ones that may require similar specs in the future).
For the cheapest decent option, the Acer Aspire 5 It has an FHD IPS Screen, An SSD although a little small, and good battery life. The Best deal for an everyday use laptop is as mentioned the HP 14 Laptop and if you need something with the same horsepower but with a better build quality Acer Swift 3 is a great option with a good discount as well. For 2 in 1 the Lenovo Flex 5 Again with great discount it does have a dim screen but for indoor use, it's a great laptop and if you want something better screen the Acer Spin 5 has a 13.5" 2K 2256 x 1504 IPS Touch with great color accuracy. For a 17.3" Screen option the Acer Aspire 5 A517 Is one of the Few 17.3" screen laptop's in this price range that has a FHD screen again with a decent discount.
Exceeded expectations almost everywhere.
Bought this unit as a budget replacement for my fairly high-powered Dell desktop which was lost during flooding. I wasn't expecting much from a $500 laptop but just needed something to get me reconnected. Setup was a breeze, setting it to my preferences was simple, removing the (modest) bloatware fr...
The fan noise on this laptop is so bad that when you first hear it you're going to think your next door neighboor is using a leaf blower outside. I DARE you to tell me i'm wrong. I have an Acer aspire E15 and an acer aspire 5 (5504) and the fan noise combined from those two laptops are less than 1/8...
Acer Aspire 5 (A515-56) ( 16GB RAM, intel core I5, Intel Iris Xe Graphics). (I have only links for czech websites sorry). Mainly I need one for programme Autodesk Inventor, I don't really play that much anymore, but it would be nice if it could run some games smoothly (like Witcher 3, Dark Souls 3...), who knows, maybe I will start playing games again.
Is Acer Aspire 5 worth it?
I was looking for a laptop for normal usage and some gaming ( GTA V or Apex Legends) for around $800 and came across this laptop. Model/Specs: Acer Aspire 5 a515-54g, 14 inch Intel i5 1135G7 mx350 8gb 512gb ssd.
Acer Aspire 5 15 (2020)
Its matte-coated screen has decent reflection handling but has a mediocre maximum brightness, so it isn't suitable for use in very well-lit environments. It also doesn't have full sRGB coverage. While the speakers get loud, they sound unremarkable, and the webcam and microphone are only okay
