  I'll probably forget to update this review down the line if my feelings change, but if it's anything like the last laptop I had, I'll probably bump it up a star or two based on longevity.

 The cool thing about it is that it charges very quickly.  Wifi works fine and it comes with a ethernet cord slot when you need it. Video quality is good and refresh rate is adequate.  Form Factor is strange as the GTX 1660ti pushes past the hinge of the screen, so you have the fans and video components jut out about an inch from where the base of the screen rests

Nice Entry-level Gaming Laptop with "meh" Battery Life and Annoying Lenovo Bloatware Installed

 The right USB does this less so I use that one. I haven't done any heavy gaming yet so I can't attest to its performance there yet, but so far the airflow during heavy usage seems good and the keyboard is very decent. Also, the webcam has a built-in manual slider to block/unblock it which was a cool bonus.

This is my 3rd Legion 5 laptop. I got the 1st one from Walmart with the following specs: 4600H Ryzen 5, 120HZ 250 nits screen, 256 GB SSD + 1TB HDD, and only a GTX 1650ti. My 2nd was the same but a slightly cheaper price when it was on sale from Lenovo which featured the same screen, GTX 1650, and 512GB SSD + 1TB HDD . I decided to get this from Amazon since it has a GTX 1660ti and a better screen with 144hz and 300 nits brightness

  As from my screenshots, the Lenovo Vantage software is a simple software to tweak your laptop and it features overclocking your GPU, only when performance mode is enabled. You can also choose to overdrive the screen response time which videos from Jarrod's tech shows the difference and I would recommend turning this feature on.  The screen also has a yellowish tint to it when white is displayed on the screen, a slight annoyance that I manage to fix within the Radeon settings with the color settings. The screen is sorta usable outdoors

/\s/ This is why I have two sets of brightness/\s/results. If you set Vantage to dGPU mode and/\s/ reboot. This doesn’t happen, so it's a bit annoying/\s/but there’s a workaround. A Lot of the options in here/\s/ can also be modified through the Vantage software/\s/anyway, such as GPU overclocking or flip to boot,/\s/ which automatically powers on/\s/the laptop when you open the lid

 I Have seen this/\s/ with other brands in the past right as they/\s/launch a new model. They seem to just price/\s/ it super high hoping that the people that/\s/really want it are going to pay the extra./\s/ So Yeah, hopefully this changes pretty shortly,/\s/because yeah, realistically, $1800 for a 3050 Ti/\s/ that’s kind of a joke regardless of the laptop/\s/chassis that it’s in. You could easily get way/\s/ better performance from an RTX 3060, maybe even/\s/a 3070 in some cases for that type of money,/\s/ so it just doesn’t make sense assuming performance/\s/is something you’re after

 For Example: if we select dGPU mode in Vantage,/\s/we still need to reboot to apply the change,/\s/ which is regular MUX switch behavior. To/\s/actually use Advanced Optimus, you need to/\s/ have Vantage on hybrid mode, then go into the/\s/Nvidia control panel to set it how you’d like,/\s/ So it’s a bit clunky right now, but I’ve/\s/been told this could change in an update. The 16” screen is 16:10 with a resolution/\s/slightly bigger than standard 1440p,/\s/ just like last year. I’ve got the 165Hz panel,/\s/but apparently there’s a 240Hz option too

 Price aside though,/\s/, which as mentioned, will change over time,/\s/let’s discuss both the good and the bad/\s/ aspects of the 5i Pro to help you decide if/\s/it’s a laptop you should consider buying. The 12th Gen CPU Performance is excellent due to/\s/high power limits, while the lower CPU power limit/\s/ when the GPU is also active seems to prevent/\s/it getting too hot and needing louder fans. The 300 watt power brick is still huge,/\s/but you can get a smaller 230 watt version,/\s/ not to mention Type-C charging now/\s/goes higher to 135 watts. Still though,/\s/ when I compare it to the size of Razer’s 280 watt/\s/charger I think there could be an improvement,/\s/ though that probably would raise the cost

let’s find out what’s changed with the newer 2022 
5i Pro and if it’s a laptop you should consider.

My 5i Pro has Intel’s Core i7-12700H CPU, Nvidia’s 
RTX 3070 Ti graphics with maximum power limit,  

16 gigs of DDR5 memory and a 16” screen,  

but you can customize the specs and check 
current prices with the links in the description.

The aluminum and magnesium chassis feels nice,  

no sharp corners or edges anywhere, 
just a well built machine.

The lid is a bit cleaner this year. Last 
year’s 5 Pro had the big lit up Y logo,  

while this year we’ve just got some more 
subtle “Legion” text towards the top.

The front has a little lip sticking out  

in the middle for the camera which 
makes it very easy to open the lid.

There’s not a whole lot of flex to 
the lid, the metal exterior feels  

fairly solid and the hinge was sturdy, 
the screen doesn’t wobble when typing.
