Lenovo Legion 5 pro RTX 3070: $1959, Needs new RAM for best performance. With a 32GB RAM it costs ~$2130.

The L5P has already reduced in price in less than a week imagine where it will be after a month or two. Also availability will definitely improve as lenovo hopes to sell as much units as possible especially in the us & other american/european countries to equal the hype that has surrounded their gaming laptop line for 2021.

WHY YOU SHOULDN'T PURCHASE THE LEGION 5 PRO (L5P) NOW

 Its not functional. There are tons of dead spots on it plus it ghost registers 1 sometimes 2 finger inputs. I love this laptop but theres no permanent fix for the trackpad which makes the laptop underperform. Sadly im returning it this week

Run all games nicely on ultra settings. Fans keep relatively quiet to other gaming laptops. Decent thermals comparatively to other laptops.

 Sure the computer comes with the correct GPU and CPU. The description says it is at 3200mhz which it is actually at 2667mhz see screenshots. Not only that but I only got 32gbs of ram compared to the 64gbs I paid for. On top of that you remember the laptop saying 165hz refresh rate? That's actually an April Fools joke as well because both the windows setting and nvidia control panel both have it locked at 60hz and CANNOT be changed

 People who have complained of the noise this laptop can make when running hours into AAA titles, especially First Person Shooters like Call of Duty, need to try playing those games on other laptops and compare the experience.  You get a lot of laptop for the dollar, and it's rated one of the quietest gaming laptops on the market with great ergonomics (e.g. location of connectors, keyboard feel, webcam position). Today's technology requires a lot of fan action to keep the high-end GPU graphics from Nvidia and AMD cool, but this laptop gets it done with less noise than most others

Best value for gaming laptop in this price range!

Amazing performance and hardware design, but I've had issues with 11th Gen CPU model and the display output on the Thunderbolt 4 port turning off when the GPU is under load. I've opened a ticket with Eluktronics, so hoping updated BIOS firmware, Thunderbolt firmware, and GPU drivers can fix the issue.

The other laptops are either expensive, have bad thermal system or just bad build quality. Alternatively, the Eluktronics RP-15 or MAG-15 is the next best laptops for price and performance. You can also customise the upgrades.

   ASUS ROG Strix Scar 15
   HP Omen ( which one better , dont know )
   ACER PREDATOR HELIOS 300
   The Razor Blade 15 ( or 17 pro , but its expensive)
So what can you suggest ? I think to buy  HP Omen 15t-dh100 , but people saying that bad cooling is problem here. Apreciate any advice in this situation , thank you in advance :)

Buying gaming laptop , need advice

Smooth plan and simple to open top. Great keyboard with fair travel, clicky input, and a discretionary RGB backlighting.

 It's also got two M.2 NVMe SSD slots for easy storage expansion. Overall build quality of the laptop feels pretty sturdy. The screen looks pretty good overall

 Overall build quality of the laptop feels pretty sturdy. The screen looks pretty good overall. There are only two refresh rates that you can set it to, 165 Hz and 40 Hz. I usually set it to 40 Hz when doing normal stuff on the laptop but I kind of wish there was an option for at least 60 Hz

 I ended up going for the slimmer MAX-15 model and so far I have been very happy with it (this is the refreshed 2021 model that has the webcam on top instead of the dreaded nosecam). It's a powerful laptop that does what I need it to and does it pretty well (mostly photo and video editing with occasional gaming on the side) although it's not perfect by any means.  The OS was a very clean install. Only things installed were the Elutronics Control Center and a custom Elutronics desktop background image, you really can't get any cleaner than that

 I've only test one video game so far with Genshin Impact (yes, I'm a weeb). Playing Genshin Impact on the highest settings works great without any hiccups, yes the fans are definitely audible but only on some rare occasions has the laptop sounded like it's about to lift off.  Overall, the Elutrkonics MAX-15 is a very solid laptop with some minor nitpicks that can be improved upon.

 The tech support for them sucks, as I am still waiting for a response from the last one I sent where the track-pad randomly skips 3 months ago. I have only had this thing for less than 6 months and should not be having these issues for a laptop this expensive. Unfortunately, I feel like I should have just gone with Apple, especially since it was mostly for school and gaming secondary. If anyone is looking at buying one of these, do yourself a favor and look elsewhere because this thing is a lemon
