 I have the wave plus and the charge plus and that's the fact that it doesn't have an awl and to to put it all in here. You have to get rid of one tool and the one tool I'd like to see gone is the little micro driver not gone completely, because I would like to see him create a bit that would integrate it into the main driver. Where you know it's just. I think it's time for that, there's other implements that could go there

 You see how that kind of tends to want to slip out of there. So generally, what I have to do with the wave. It'S kind of give it a little bit of a flat spot first with the pliers, and then I'm able to pull it back there and then it will crimp in I mean, let's see if we can get that to illuminate a little better. So we can get a little better angle, then it it crimps down and it does a pretty decent job

The Skeletool was my first Leatherman. That's how I finally came to understand the price.  Too much time and money had been wasted on cheap crappy multitools.  The Skeletool was useful, but it gave me a taste for what I could be doing with a multitool

Why didn't I know how much I would use this? My testimony, inside.

My Charge TTi blade snapped off so I initiated a warranty claim. Instructions ask to send the tool to a shipping company in British Columbia who then forwards it to Leatherman in the US. My tool was delivered to the shipping company on Jan 8, 2021. Finally received an email on Feb 2, 2021 that it was received in the US and sent for repair

 I forget where I saw where that was explained to me, but the waves are here. They aren't is jimping. These are here just to let you know what blade it is that you're looking at so let's go ahead and look at the main thing here. The pliers come to a really fine point: they're, really solid in hand

 Like that, it holds an edge, really well has a with a liner lock on the outside and nice thing about this is the knife is accessible from the outside? A bunch of tools are actually accessible from the outside and, what's really nice is every single thing on this, except for the pliers locks into place. So you're not going to you know, be screwing in with the driver and fold it over on your hand, and you know, hurt your knuckles or something like that. So let's go ahead and get into this. We saw the knife blade

 This one, a couple more militaristic ones. Maxpedition makes some really good stuff too, but it has this pocket clip that you can where's that right here on the bottom end, where, like all your small attachments, are you have the space in here and you can just insert the pocket clip. I can get it here with camera till it clicks and then it's in there and then all you do when you want to pull it out, is to just depress your lock again just locks right here in this little launch. So it's kind of cool

 If you get. One of these is a bit driver extender. So what you do is you just pull out your bit cut your extender end clips right in, and you just put your bit in there. Then it gives you all kinds of reach to get back in somewhere with a bit really worth its weight in gold

 Oh, and heaven forbid you need that cutting "V" tool to slice a seatbelt in an emergency, because it takes about an hour to seperate it from it's neighbors. This makes this particular item utterly useless, unless you open boxes constantly.  Last, but certainly not least, the assisted opening on the plain blade is just garbage. It takes a ton of pressure to engage it in the first place, and then it only serves to fling the blade about halfway open, just enough for your thumb to lose it's hold on the sharpened metal of doom

I've resorted to 2-hand opening, which is just crap for a blade that's supposed to be asssisted opening. Meanwhile, the saw blade's assisted opening is almost perfect, because you never know when you're going to need to saw a tiny limb off a tree in a hurry! Seriously, I'd much rather give up the assisted opening on the saw blade altogether, if I could have on that works correctly on the plain (see: "most often used") blade

Overpriced waste of potential.

I like having my SOG PowerAssist around for compound leverage pliers. Haven't really found a good standalone equivalent. Also opening it like a balisong is fun.

For me it’s the pocketwrench 2. There’s some redundancy with my spirit X, but it’s really good at what it does and it’s so light/disappears that it’s worth having around. I use it mainly for the slim wrench, pry, and ruler.

Any Multitool that does a job exceptionally well that you keep around even if it’s redundant?

  In conclusion, the multi-tool just is not the place for a one-handed opening blade. The multi-tool is first and foremost a pair of pliers. If your after a knife, go for a Benchmade or an Emerson. If you need an awesome multi-tool, get the PowerLock

 And any such grit would be very difficult to remove from the torsion springs as disassembly of the mechanism looked to be a sketchy task at best. Furthermore, the housing for the springs was made almost entirely of plastic, as was the flimsy spacer that extended down the handle between the blades. This I knew would not be able to withstand the punishment that my PowerPliers had been subject to on a routine basis.  The rest of the tool however, is solid and functional

But the reviews looked good and the assisted opening blades (although gimmicky) still appealed to me.  Handling of the tool upon delivery was accompanied by an acute case of buyer's remorse.  And for the casual user who works in a clean environment or for the collector, this tool will be a true gem. However, if you rely heavily on your multi-tool and regularly employ the rounded-out conventional set of accompanying fold-out blades and tools, you would be far better served by the PowerLock model.  In conclusion, the multi-tool just is not the place for a one-handed opening blade. The multi-tool is first and foremost a pair of pliers

Fun But Not Practical

 The replacement is far inferior in quality. It looks OK but obviously they have downgraded their materials AGAIN! I'm pretty upset by this. I ruined the serrated blade its first use. Cutting an electrical cord

 The wire cutter portion also quickly tuned to mush after cutting mig wire a couple times. SOG claims of course these tools are for light use. I didn't buy it for hanging picture frames on occasion or opening mail, I bought it so I had something better than nothing when caught on a serious job without the right tool. Since this tool caused personal injury, multiple times, I have to give it three stars

 I ruined the serrated blade its first use. Cutting an electrical cord. I had done this task and far worse with older SOGs and never even saw them flinch, but now a couple strands of SOFT copper have laid waste to a SOG blade.  Saddens me very much to say this but: **** THIS WILL BE THE LAST SOG I OWN ****  I have seen this product from "would not live without" to "so-so" to TOTAL JUNK in about 9 years

 I added scissors and got rid of the short flat head and the V-cutter. You will need some hex bits and lock tite to accomplish this change. The power assist knives are fantastic. I like having the serrated one for cutting 550 cord, and the plain blade for whittling if needed Only downside of this multitool is that the pivotting tool cover pops off sometimes, and I am afraid I will loose it

This is a slider here to lock the blade from accidentally coming open. If you press off there's no way to open this

 This here button is a release to unlock the blade, has nothing to do with opening it. This is to lock the blade in the handle. Now what happens is I try to carry this thing with the lock off and they accidentally slide on. These will move on you, you cannot trust whatever position you set this in on these blades on or off, you cannot trust it to stay there
