Not so much! I recommend others to research other vacuum options before paying the higher price just for the Hoover name. I REALLY WISH Hoover would bring back the self-propelled WindTunnel line!!!! Keep shopping if you're looking for a powerful, bagged, upright vacuum that really cleans surfaces. This vacuum may not be an optimal choice

The salesman quoted us a $900 price but actually based his price on how much we could afford. We gave him a comfortable payment and from then on it was bang,bang, bang and we were talking to the finance company and before we knew what hit us we bought the darn thing. Same thing happens, another ridiculously large amount of baking soda just explodes into the filter section and he has to shut it off. This happens honestly about another 6 times until it finally seems like the amount of baking soda blasting into the filter starts to tone down a little. It was completely crazy. It made this other uber-expensive $800 vacuum look like a fisher-price toy

Has a brushroll shut off for your bare floors and a turbine tool for cleaning the fur of your furniture.

What I've found out is the price is very negotiable and you can get a better deal by being persistent.

No Dyson is worth more than $100. Save the money and get a quality bagged vacuum. Look on used marketplaces for a Sebo Felix for a good entry level vacuum. If you just need something to tide you over, the Hoover Tempo/Windtunnel Bagged will fit the bill

Just by picking up the Kirby it made my Dyson feel like a toy. The Kirby feels very well constructed and I’m excited to have a more quality vacuum than the DC50. I may still keep it around just because it’s a bit more maneuverable and I have the attachments with it, but I feel the Sentria will likely take over the reigns. In fact, one website said that Consumer Reports gave it a "Best Buy." It vacuums pretty good; I can see tracks in the carpet when I'm done. It seems to have good suction and does have a wide vacuuming path. Here are the problems I have with it, though: the extension hose is very short - VERY short- I do not like this because I use it a lot; the carpet height setter appears to have no function at all, the underside wheels do NOT move up or down to allow for different heights; the attachments do not lock together, so they don't stay together if you have to pull on them; the vacuum is VERY loud; and the vacuum is made of very cheap plastic in my opinion

The thing is big! It's shiny! It's noisy and powerful! Hell, it's made of METAL! What's not to love! Get one of these machines and we will never need another vacuum for the rest of our live! This thing will be a family heirloom! Kirby salesmen direct their pitch to the husbands. Check this thing out! It can do everything! She can shampoo the carpets, vacuum my car, clean invisible bugs out of the bed (yeah, that one is directed at her)..
