Herman Miller Aeron Review: My Opinion 3 Years Later

 It's been about three years since we received and reviewed our Aeron Remastered Chair, and

 in that three-year time span, there have been some things that have changed at Herman Miller,

 and we've also gained a ton of experience using the chair for three years.

 So I'm just going to give you my honest opinion on what I think of the Aeron after having

 a chance to use it for so long, and kind of touch on why it is that I can't use this

 chair as my daily driver, even though this is a chair that I want to love more than any

 So just starting out with some of the policy stuff, the price has gone up quite a bit since

 I believe it was around $1,300 when we reviewed it last, but inflation is crazy, and so I

 believe the model, fully loaded, is about $1,650 right now.

 You're still getting the same 12-year warranty with coverage on the entire chair, with reps

 that will come out and do work if you're close enough to a location.

 The return policy has changed slightly from Herman Miller.

 They're no longer as open to taking any returned chair before they would give you 30 days full

 You have to have the original packaging, and you will be paying that return shipping cost,

 but they will give you 30 days to try the chair, and they'll give you a free refund

 So slight difference on the return policy.

 Now build quality, nothing's changed on the chair in terms of build quality or design.

 I still believe that it's one of the most well-made chairs that we've ever tested since

 of the heap in terms of build quality, overall quality of components, and just the look of

 Now I'll just go through the adjustments on the chair.

 Nothing has changed on the chair in terms of functionality-wise, but beings that I've

 had a chance to use the chair for three years, I'll just kind of touch on my opinion on what

 I think of all the adjustments, starting with the seat height.

 I love that they go all the way down to 16 inches, all the way up to 20.5 inches on the

 If you're a little bit shorter or a little bit taller, you can go with the size A or

 the size C, which will give you a little bit lower or higher range.

 So they definitely did a great job of covering almost the entire population with their seat

 One thing that I will say about the seat adjustment, though, is that it does not have seat depth

 No seat slider, no flex front like the Mira.

 You are just stuck with the seat size that you get this direction.

 And this is probably one of the biggest problems on the Aeron, because a huge component of

 sitting in your chair ergonomically is making sure that you have the proper space from the

 front seat edge to the back of your legs.

 And without having an adjustment to accomplish that, that can become very difficult because

 you need to fit the chair instead of making the chair fit you.

 And this is probably going to be the biggest miss in terms of adjustments, in my opinion,

 because it's just not going to fit everyone.

 I'm a very average-sized person, 5'9", 180 pounds, and I would prefer that the seat

 So if you're taller than me, the problem is just going to get accentuated the taller that

 you get until you get into the size C. So definitely a big miss, in my opinion, with

 Switching over to the arms, I love the arm adjustments on the Aeron.

 I never, ever had a problem getting the arms into a comfortable position for me, no matter

 Sort of the way, if you want, I can let my arm hang and it's not touching.

 Then you get a massive depth range, as well as a big pivot range that, in my opinion,
