But it's got a nice volume bump from the edge of the drum to the center. It's sensitive in the hands and it's got a nice big cracky back beat when I want to play a simple kind of funky or kind of rock beat

 Just a little simple bolt clamps on and stays in place so you're good to go there. The sound of these drums is great. The mahogany wood with Gretches thirty degree bearing edges adds to that warm tone. Let me turn the snare wires off and play you the sound of these toms

 But first, let's get into the hardware. The hardware in this kit, really cool, very versatile and heavy duty, works really well. Got the big Gretsch gas cap on the kick drum here, holds the rack tom in place, nice and sturdy and it's a great visual feature as well. You got a ball joint and your single tom holder right here, you can also attach another cymbal arm here if you'd like to

 How you doing everybody? Nick DiVirgilio here sitting behind a sweet little drum kit that

 packs a big punch and is really versatile. This is the Gretsch Drums Catalina Club four

 piece kit in this beautiful white chocolate finish. Someone described this kit to me like

 it was at one time in its life a white drum kit that has aged into this beautiful kind

 of white chocolate finish. It's really cool looking, very gorgeous. These are mahogany

 drums. Now mahogany is known for its warm tone and with these sizes you get a nice warm

 punchy sound. Like I said this can be played in all kinds of styles of music. I mean I

 did a little sort of Latin thing at the opening play-in right there. Obviously it's a great

 jazz drum kit but as I'll show you throughout this video these are versatile drums and you

 can play them really in any style of music. They're perfect for clubs, small clubs, great

 house of worship setting this drum kit and then also EDM. You can play electronic music

 in that kind of band. You play with a DJ or something like that. This would be a great

 kit for something like that as well. So like I said really versatile, fun drums to play.

 Let me get into some more details with you right now. These drums are seven plies thick.

 You get an eight by twelve inch rack tom, a fourteen by fourteen inch floor tom, a fourteen

 by eighteen inch kick drum, really cool, and a five by fourteen inch matching snare. And

 as you can see this kick drum is raised off the ground quite a bit. They give you a bass

 drum lift so the beater of the kick drum pedal will hit right in the center of the drum every

 time. It's really easy to take on and off. Just a little simple bolt clamps on and stays

 in place so you're good to go there. The sound of these drums is great. The mahogany wood

 with Gretches thirty degree bearing edges adds to that warm tone. Let me turn the snare

 the kick drum. Turn the snare wires off so you can hear it clearly. Good tone, nice low

 end, it compliments the toms really really well. And it came up to this pitch quite easily.

 I have a power stroke three on this side of the kick drum on the beater side. Obviously

 different head combinations could change up this drum kit in a totally different way.

 Now I mentioned the EDM thing at the beginning of the video, so this drum kit is really cool

 for that kind of thing. So if you're playing with a DJ, you do a little drum and bass kind

 of stuff or just some kind of funky beats underneath a drum loop, perfect for this kind

 of drum kit. Very cool, really inspiring. Before this video is over, first I'm going

 to talk to you a little bit about the hardware that you get with this kit, but before the

 video is over like I said, I'm going to put a kick drum head on the front of the kick

 drum that has a hole and a little bit of dampening in the kick drum and show you how the sound

 can change quite easily and make it a little bit more of a kind of a pop rock tiny drum

 kit. But first, let's get into the hardware. The hardware in this kit, really cool, very

 versatile and heavy duty, works really well. Got the big Gretsch gas cap on the kick drum

 here, holds the rack tom in place, nice and sturdy and it's a great visual feature as

 well. You got a ball joint and your single tom holder right here, you can also attach

 another cymbal arm here if you'd like to. The GTS tom suspension system is really cool,
