So i think this bag was like 35 bucks um and, as you can see, there's zero padding

Rucker Plate Carrier or 3.0?

 After about 6 months of testing with the MacBook pro, some pressure marks began to develop on the screen. At first, we thought there was an issue with the bag smashing the MacBook Pro, but it turns out that it’s an issue with the MacBooks anti-reflective coating degrading prematurely. It’s called Staingate. Either way, installing a kydex sheet makes the pocket a little more sturdy and it adds more structure to the bag and laptop compartment (available here)

The main compartment has a clamshell opening, which makes it easy to see and access everything (in comparison to a top loading backpack). Inside the clamshell opening, we’ve got:

Fits perfectly and feels comfortable. I had the previous Rucker 2.0 25L and recently upgraded to the Rucker 3.0 25L (I'm 5'11" 210lbs and have a slightly longer torso than average)

 now. The reason that Goruck got rid of it is the reason we're going to see a change on the interior as well is they're trying to minimize the number of zippers on the bag zippers. When it comes to rucks for wrecking and go rock events and sandbag rock and training, they get abused. They get thrown on the ground, they've got 30 pounds, 20 pounds, 45 pounds and more in there, and every time they get thrown on the ground and those giant weights hit those zippers, it is a potential fail point for the bag scars

 However, for me personally when it comes to Goruck events and rucking in general as a sport, I prefer the 20 liters. Uh, there's very few times where I need 25 liters worth of gear, equipment, and food when I'm at an event. Normally I just need my shell, the weight, the water, and a few snacks. Maybe a change of socks? All of that easily for me fits in the 20 liter and so I much prefer that size

 As with all Goruck bags, it does open flat, so we do get that full clam shell effect which is very nice on the interior. Again, as we're talking about zippers, here is where we have lost zippers for the top pocket and the interior mesh pocket. They've been replaced with velcro and these little quick grab tabs. So you simply grab and pull and you're in

 gets tons of requests for zipper repairs, and they just realized the problem is most easily solved by simply removing zippers. So we've lost that entire front slash pocket when we get on the inside of the bag. As with all Goruck bags, it does open flat, so we do get that full clam shell effect which is very nice on the interior. Again, as we're talking about zippers, here is where we have lost zippers for the top pocket and the interior mesh pocket

 The fact that i've got everything, including the sternum, strap fantastic. I do have two issues with it and this is what i would fix. First of all, i would make the hip belt either standard on all the ruckers or i would make the hip belt in all the various colors that they sell available for sale separately so as a different accessory. So those are that's number one

 Fourth generation of the rucker? Well, i would only have a few things really. I love everything about this bag that they've done, including a lot of the features that i want in a beat-up ruck. The fact that i've got everything, including the sternum, strap fantastic. I do have two issues with it and this is what i would fix

 But i at least want the opportunity to be able to carry this much weight regardless of how tall i am in my torso size. So that's why i want this plate and all of the different bags, i'm not really sure why they don't include it. I know probably one of the main reasons is that that's too tall for the short frame, but the standard frame rucker should at least include this plate pocket configuration so that i can carry all this weight in the regular size. So really that comes down to it

Just be sure the camping gear is stuff you would be comfortable using. You might try the WANDRD PRVKE 41L or shimoda pack or a https://www.wandrd.com/products/fernweh (However at 50L there is a risk of having to check it)

Pretty much, I'm trying to pack for RTW travel that would include both hiking, remotely working with laptop, and fitting in a carry-on; and I don't know how to look for advice from people that have done the same.

<p>EDIT: I should have added a few major details:</p>

<li>my pack is 40+10L. These 10L are a space in extendable roll-top, where I could pack things outside airport</li>
<li>my these 40+10L still don&#39;t account for  outside stretchy pockets , where I coul stuff things outside the airport as well. One big pocket could certainly fit a tent, a puffy jacket and a medkit</li>
<li>my tent is frameless, uses 1 trekking pole. I do expect this to be the largest butt-hurt and will either send that pole + stakes separately or will get new ones. Either way, I expect to move on land much more than by plane.</li>

I recently gave the Wandrd Prvke a trail run because I had heard good things, I hated it. My main turnoff of the Prvke is the roll top. I just can't do it. The comfort just isn't it either

The lower half of the shoulder straps is dedicated to rails for the sliding sternum strap—our favorite kind because of how granular the adjustment is. It’s a shame our sample didn’t come with one, though the 21-liter daypack volume of this version doesn’t necessitate one. There are also loops for attaching a waist strap, but again, they’re really not a must-have at this capacity. Despite the difference in sizing, it’s nice to know that the larger cube can get the job done if you prefer the Deep but have the 21L backpack

There are two ways to access the main compartment; via the rolltop or through the clamshell opening. As a rolltop, the PRVKE 21L’s volume is expandable; thus, the beefy G-hook is length-adjustable, and there are two sets of hook-side velcros on the front side where the strips of loop-side velcros at the back can attach to. This is fine for quick but partial access to the main compartment. For full access, though, clamshell access is the way to go
